I like the first 2 games the most, but sentimentality aside, they are still fun games. After that, there are a lot of games I like and play. However, since this is the Legacy Platforms forum, I won't list anything too recent.

01. Black Tiger and Commando (both arcade, both made by Capcom) Black Tiger had almost RPG elements where you stored up 'zenny' to buy armor/keys/potions/stronger weapon. Commando was just a fun run-n-gun shooter that was just fun to play.

02. Twisted Metal 2 (PlayStation) - one of the few sequels that actually improved upon everything from the original game.

03. Super Mario Bros. (NES) - No, I didn't mean SMB 3, which I'm sure someone will probably list.

04. Star Fox (SNES) - was the first 3d game I ever played. It had a nice variety of worlds to fly through, both 3rd and 1st person cockpit views.

05. TMNT: The Arcade Game (arcade) - seemed to really capture the spirit of the animated series, and a fun side-scrolling fighter - coop with 3 other people was also fun

06. Pac-Man (arcade) - addictive dot-eating fun

07. Super Mario World (SNES) - I liked Yoshi, all the areas to explore and the new style of flight compared to a spinning tail in SMB 3

08. Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (SNES) - the game that got me into fighting games (after Karate Champ) - each fighter had a unique style to try to learn.

09. Double Dragon (NES) - was the first game I ever saw on NES. I liked all the moves that the player gained as they earned a higher 'heart' level. I still like the NES version more than the arcade.

10. Duck Tales (NES) - a FUN licensed game from a tv show. This game also got a nice review from the angry nerd :)

There are so many good games that I wanted to list, but I wanted to stick close to 10. Basically my top 5 are my top 5, after that are just some of the more memorable older games. I'm sure I've forgotten some really good games, but that's what happens when you've been playing on all types of platforms for over 26 years.
