Zelda OoT just creeped me out

I've been bored out of my mind recovering from Wisdom teeth surgery, and with the PSN down I've been playing through LoZ OoT. I reached the part when Link learns the Song of Storms as an adult. When I played it for Guru-Guru (the windmill man) a second time, he became angry as expected, the man already looks creepy when he's angry (just as creepy as the happy mask salesman looks when hes p-ed off), however this time the background music slowly faded to the enemy encounter music, and navi's target turned to yellow. I didn't know what was happening until Guru-Guru began chasing me around the ****ing place, until Link finally died. Lol whhhat?? was all I could say, that never happened before. I tried to make it happen again but no luck. Has anyone else encountered this?

I don't remember this ever happening in the game. I'll have to try it out.
