I am REALLY thinking about that, depending on where I am money wise then. Its a Wi-Fi enabled Ipod with a I-Phone touch screen. Basically looks precisely like a iPhone. Just does not have a phone. 8GB and 16GB, then 8GB version is only $299.99. I was shocked at that price. Something that can play music and surf the web with that cool touch and drag interface, sign me up!

What I don't get, with the price drop of the iPhone, they're going to be the same price. Why would I buy an iPod Touch if I can buy an iPhone (with a build in iPod) for the same amount of money?

Um dude they slashed the price of the 8GB model ONLY which is $600 and they'll get rid of the 4GB model. Wanna do the math all over again?

I thought about it for a bit but 8 and 16 GB ?

That's way too small. I know they save money on using the same hardware as the iPhone but that thing should have way more storage.

I probably will, but only 8/16 gigs is disappointing. I'll have to swap stuff pretty often.

something about touch screen gizmo's on the move just don't really grab me. They sure do look cool and the tech is top notch, but I rather keep it simple...

Essentially it's a gimped version of the Iphone, but honestly I doubt I would make much use of the things that were cut. I also read the touch-screen functionality has been reduced significantly though.

I'm still cut, I'll probably wait for version 2.0 of the Touch.

I'm wondering if reviews were paid off by Apple. Wait, a trusted review company wouldn't do that, would they? Hmm???

I have mine for over a month now and I love it! I wanted to upgrade my Ipod Nano with a video-device and this is just perfect. It's thin, light and has a great screen. I hacked it (very easy) and now have full Iphone apps (like Calendar, weather, mail etc.) as well. With Wifi the surfing is great and you almost have a full PDA this way. If you have a good phone already I think the Touch is a way better deal than the Iphone (which has crazy subscriptions fees).
