I have a posing Question: Do you feel comfortable buying a Game that is made by (to yourself) an unknown Company? Would you be willing to let yourself spend your hard earned cash on a Game you think you may like, however you are unsure about as It's made by a upcoming Game Developer.

I myself have thought about purchasing several Games in the past and Im glad I have waiting because they did'nt all turn out great. But If we don't give these Games some backing will there ever be a nice' in the market for New Companies?

Your Views.......

Personally I don't buy games based on who the developer is. Althout, the name may have me take a look at a game initially. For instance, I usually check out anything from Square-Enix, Capcom, Rare, etc. Generally though, if I see something that looks interesting to me I just keep track of it regardless of who puts it out. Watch trailers, gameplay videos, read up on it, etc. These days with the internet and all I actually find it hard to make a bad game purchase. All it takes is a little research.

While I do tend to support a few companies more than others, it's certainly not intentional - or at least, it's not because of a predetermined bias towards other companies.

I am a victim of playing favorites with game developers (Valve, Starbreeze, Bungie), but this never effects what games I buy. I research every potential purchase and I am never dissatisfied when I do buy a game. So to answer your question, I would feel comfortable buying a game from an unknown developer.
