I couldn't find this topic in Knowledgebase and couldn't figure out how to email specific questions through that either (n00bish, perhaps, but the email feature, if it really exists, seems quite well-hidden). Does anyone know how I might go about downgrading from Total Access (my current subscription) to Plus? I hardly ever use the exclusive Total Access features (besides the fast downloads) and my subscription will soon be up for renewal.

I would also like to know this procedure for the same reasons. I read in one of the Total Access FAQs (under the question: "If I canceled my GameSpot Complete account or let it expire, can I sign up for GameSpot Plus?") that you can cancel your subscription and then re-sign up, this time for Plus, but I don't want to risk losing my profile, and nowhere did I read whether that would happen. GameSpot makes it clear and easy to upgrade to Total Access, but not so much to downgrade. Makes sense from a financial perspective, but it's not too user friendly and is all the more annoying considering previously paid subscribers were not given the CHOICE (part of the heart of American culture) as to which membership plan they wanted to switch to. Good business is more than just fulfilling financial needs; it's also about fulfilling customer needs. This is not to say that I don't like this site, 'cause which gamer wouldn't like this site, but GameSpot does need to make it easier to downgrade membership plans. Moderators: please respond!

I'm pretty sure thats how to downgrade. Let it expire and change to which level you wish. Membership level changes should not result in losing a profile.
