Well I just cancelled my account so no more money from me. Hell I am taking GameSpot off my homepage and will find a new home to hit regularly. I can no longer trust that GameSpot can give honest reviews and I know there are a lot of us out who feel the same. I really hope every single subscriber cancels their account to send the "suits" a message. Gamers want honest reviews based on honest criticism NOT on dishonest editing by some guy who probably does not even play games. GameSpot/CNet saw dollar bills from a sponser being pulled and they caved, losing EVERY bit of integrity they had.

Jeff I hope to see you on another site so I can get more of your honest opinins and humor. To hell with GS/CNet they no longer have my respect or loyalty.

I'm going to have to join in on this. CNET can crow on all it wants about how his attitude was poor and he had a history of questionable practices but the truth is those practices made him one of the best staff members. I'm going to cancel my subscription tomorrow morning. Now that I think about it, I don't know why I've stayed a subscriber for so long anyway. I don't really get any value for my $40.00. A bunch of tournaments I don't participate in and the odd download. Whoop-dee doo.

There's nothing more to say about this. CNET/Gamespot is "dead to me" to quote a famous public satirist. Seriously though, WTF? Was ANYONE at CNET/Gamespot really suprised that Jeff was going to give K&L an honestly composed, low score? Where have you guys been for the past decade?

Same Here! I just cancelled my subscription... It breaks my heart. I've been on this site for so long. The Fact that a respected news site would allow it's self to become so compromised is shocking. I won't be buying anything Eidos makes from now on either. This site has been my Homepage for like 3 computers. Which is about 8-9 years. I can't imagine that Gamespot even cares that we're all so hurt by their actions. It turns my stomach. What a world we live in. I guess it all comes down to money... And this site isn't getting anouther dime from me.

Started reading my video game reviews when the Cnet gaming staff handled it. Then moved to Gamespot when they merged. I don't like to consider myself a lemming but I decided to follow you guys off the cliff and cancel my subscription with Gamespot. Of course they already have my money until July. Gamespot was my number one source. Until Gamespot follows themselves up with better reasons on letting him go then I plan to keep it well below IGN on my trust meter. And that is pretty low.

But I really hope that he was let go for solid reasons because I really trusted CNET for all my other non-gaming reviews and to find a comprehensive site that reviews the many products it does will be a hassle.

Sadly, When I heard the news of Jeff... My first thought was I'm cancelling. Well I'm think it's time to go elsewhere. I'm on GT more these days. Ever since Rich left it has been down hill. Jeff was also good. dang the memories. Sorry GS you have been great.

Game Spot is my favorite site and because of that I'm gonna wait and see if they get Jeff back if they don't, I'm not going to spend any more money on a site full of pre-payed bull@#$% reviews.

Cancel Subscription

Your GameSpot Total Access subscription has been successfully cancelled, and your membership will not be renewed.

However, you can continue to enjoy GameSpot subscriber benefits until the end of your subscription period. Afterwards, your status will be reverted to a GameSpot registered account, our free level of membership.

Anyone know when the end of subscription period is if paying on annual billing cycle... I thought they cancelled and refunded payment on pro-rata rate.

I have also cancelled my account. I'm currently looking for trustworthy sites to which I can move for the reviews and stuff. I'm open to all suggestions.

Hey all,

Where did you cancel your accounts, I can't find where to do it. My billing has been taken automaticallyfor the past 5 years that I have been a member.I want to cancel but can't see where to do it, checked profile and all but no luck...

I'm out also, has been a good 5 years but lately the advertising was realy bugging me. This situation with Jeff realy just confirms for me that GS is on the wrong path, so I'm out :(

I have been a loyal Gamespot subscriber for over 3 years. This is the only web-site to which I have paid money, in order to get my video game information.

But not anymore. I TRUST they understand.

One of the main reasons for putting down my money was Jeff Gertsmann - for his humour, energy and honesty. I valued his opinion, TRUSTed his reviews and feel that how he has been treated is abysmal.

In my opinion Gamespot as a brand is losing all creditability and it's standing in the eyes of true gamers is in serious decline. Well done CNET for messing with a tried and TRUSTed formula. I don't know now what you want Gamespot to be. But I'm not interested in finding out.

Thanks to Jeff and all the other editors for the entertainment over the past few years but I am off to pastures new.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated

:(
