How do you/should you use your game collection in your profile?

I currently only list the games that I physically have the disks/cartridges for right now.  I have noticed that some people seem to list their entire back catalog.  I have been attempting to remember every game I have ever owned right back to my NES days when I was a very small child.  My question is, should I add all of these games to my collection or just look back with a feeling of nostalgia and then throw the list in the bin?

Interesting point... To be honest I think the games list is more of an indication of how long you've been playing, what you like and how commited you might be. I don't see the harm in throwing in some of your old favourites... My collection is full of them. Although, saying that, I've never thrown away/lost/sold any of my games. might as well of, most of the oldies are in a box in the attic.

For me, all the games in my collection are all physical in their retail cases on a shelf alongside my DVDs in my bedroom. So I only list games that I have right now, and if I got rid of any games I would remove them from my list.

In my opinion you should only list games that you actually have, and not ones that you had in the past which you don't have right now.

My collection is only games that I own, not all the games I've ever owned. I use it to keep track of what, exactly, I have, because I don't have room to store all of it in a displayable fashion.

Same here, the reason why I never show pictures of my game collection, is because if I did, it would be a mess of boxes for all my recent games, and no boxes for my GB, GBC and GBA games. Plus, I use the wish list a lot. But I haven't updated it in a while, except for a couple games, but usually when I do put a game on there, I will get eventually, but maybe not when it comes out, like Oblivion for PC.

I used to put games that I have owned but my friends yelled at me so now I only have games in there that I physically own.

I only put the games I physically own, and yes I do keep all of them. It bugs me when I find people who list games they have ROMs of, or they will just add games that have a score of like 8.5 or higher to make themselves look good weather they own them or not.

It should only be what you have. They should just make a seperate tab for games played.

At first I listed every game that I ever owned for any console, starting back at the original NES.  However, I realized that since I don't physically have the consoles and games then they aren't physically in my collection either, so I removed them.  I sacrificed an emblem for this move, but I think it's the honest thing to do.

Ha ha ha!  Actually, it just gives me an excuse to go hunting for all of my old consoles and games again.

I keep everything I've ever owned at one time on there.  It serves to remind me not to give my newer games up when I beat them, because I inevitably regret it later.

I think the idea behind the list is to add the games you have, not had at one time.....

.....sooo, I only put the games I have even though Im sure many add whatever it takes to get certain emblems.
