Numerous accounts of U.S. troops ditching their M-16s and using a confiscated Kalashnikov have been reported when there was heavy fighting in Fallujah, where it was room-to-room combat.

If you get the orginal ones (which are pretty damned rare) it fires a whopping 7.62 x 33 mm round. The more common and modern ones (AK-74s) fire the smaller 5.45 x 99 mm round. Personally, I prefer the former, because they make BIG holes. :P
