AK , come on the IRC next time and we can work your problems out. There is no need to go crazy over a silly little suspension from Gamespot. We would have been there for you man.

He made a pretty logical statement. MP-5s are more portable and are good for headshots =)

Boys will be boys.

If it's wrong to go into a school and fire an assault rifle wildly into the air, I don't want to be right.

I think it's pretty cool that the kid said what he did, and fired warning shots.  I mean, think about it; how often do these people give second chances?

There's been a lot of threats going around my town lately too, it's a gangster wannabe town and it's lame. Like, a while ago, this kid wrote on the middle school wall the names of all the kids he was going to suposedly kill. That's not even close to the planned out shooting in that artical but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a shooting at one of my scool this year. I've seen kids with pistols in the streets, along with knifes ect. America is barley safe to live in, in a lot of places.

For all those who are wondering what firing an AK is like, it's not as glamorous as you would think. It has a moderate amount of kick-back, hardly any muzzle-climb, and accuracy goes straight to hell after the rounds go past 200 yards.

I'd say that the reason the terrorists get mowed down the way they is not because of their weapons. Oh no. Most firefights are within the AK's effective range. The reason 'we' win so often is because 'our' troops have superior training and the ability to communicate with their entire force. As for the reliability...you have no idea. A soldier in 'Nam finds one in the mood in the skeletal grip of a corpse that's been dead for months. He picks up the weapon, pulls the trigger...and fires perfectly.

Hell no, I'm just reenforcing your statement. And what you heard is true. Numerous accounts of U.S. troops ditching their M-16s and using a confiscated Kalashnikov have been reported when there was heavy fighting in Fallujah, where it was room-to-room combat.

If you get the orginal ones (which are pretty damned rare) it fires a whopping 7.62 x 33 mm round. The more common and modern ones (AK-74s) fire the smaller 5.45 x 99 mm round. Personally, I prefer the former, because they make BIG holes. :P
