I just listened to While My Guitar Gently Weeps for the first time in a while (okay, maybe like only a day, but that's a long time for me), and I must say that it still has that one of a kind charm it is famous for having. I don't know what it is exactly, be it the work Harrison does with his guitar to really make it sound like it's weeping, the mesmorizing lyrics, or that one of a kind beat it is, but it still, to this day, very unique in it's own way. Definately one of his best with the beatles to say the very least. What do all of you think of it (those who've heard it that is)?

 jet, I care. While My Guitar Gently Weeps is a sad song, so I don't listen to it much :P I'd say my fav's would have to be Yesterday and Let it Be. (wait...those are sad songs too....doh)

edit: Oh yeah, John Lennon's Stand By Me probably tops my Beatles list.

"She was a working girl North of England way Now she's hit the big time In the U.S.A. And if she could only hear me This is what I'd say. Honey pie you are making me crazy I'm in love but I'm lazy So won't you please come home. Oh honey pie my position is tragic Come and show me the magic of your Hollywood song. You became a legend of the silver screen And now the thought of meeting you Makes me weak in the knee. Oh honey pie you are driving me frantic Sail across the Atlantic To be where you belong. Will the wind that blew her boat Across the sea Kindly send her sailing back to me. Honey pie you are making me crazy I'm in love but I'm lazy So won't you please come home."-Honey Pie I win.

George Harrison is one of my favorite guitarists, he's very under-rated.

Iwanted to reply to this when it was first posted but damn I still can't believe I got suspended, and for 2 days not just 1 as it said.

Anyway,George Harrison didn't played the lead guitar on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Eric Clapton did. George Harrison was really an average guitar player, both John and Paul were actually better on the guitar as evidenced on late songs since the White Album when they didn't recorded together anymore.

George Harrison was a great song composer though, no doubt.

I found John to actually be the least efficient guitarist. I still like what Harrison did on his other works better than the others.

Indeed, Harrison had a great solo career.  His slide guitar playing "All Things Must Pass" is one of the main reasons that I like him so much as a guitar player.

Well George learned to play the guitar off John Lennon. And in my opinion John's songs had better guitar pieces.

But anyway both George and John are not in the same league of top-tier guitarists like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Jimmi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Steve Ray Vaughan to name some.
