I think Nintendo may have been a generation off in their "graphical wall" theory....
If this is just Crysis, I can't imagine what Crytech's next engine will output..

If I wasn't looking closely, I would have thought the bottom ones were photographs :o Can you imagine how much care and attention went into modeling the environments after the reference photos? I'd really like to see an rpg using the Crytek engine. The exploration would be amazing.

On the 3rd comparison, the bottom one is a photograph, the top one is the engine output. And yes, a RPG with exploration in a world looking this that would be awesome.

*drool* Wow thats amazing. If they announced some RPGs and stuff on PC with those graphics, I'd say screw consoles and save up for an uber PC. Teh graphic whore!! But oh well, graphics add to the gameplay alot

I wonder though, is it true that recomended video card is only a 7800 GTX or DX10 equivilant? If so, I can probably play it when it comes out, I intend to get a 7900 by then.

I do plan to get the best PC possible when it comes out and get some external GB so I can become a hermit. I have been putting off PC as a 3D gaming thing for a long time :P

It can definatly get better. Some things are very obviously not real life, still a ways to go, and we don't know how non-enviornmental things like characters will look in the final thing, I'd say no complete photo-realism till about 2010.
