These are the genres I listen to.

Acid Jazz.
Alternative.
Ballad.
Blues.
Crunk. Aww yeah.
Dance.
Electronic.
Garage.
Hip-hop. [Don't get me wrong, non of that gangsta bull, and strictly no 50cent.]
House.
Jazz. [I need LOTS of this :)]
Pop.
R'n'B.
Reggae.
Rock.
Soul.

There's more, I just don't know how to... You know, put it. ^^; Anyway, I've got 1gb of space that isn't being abused with bad/good music in general. :)

Oh dear. You certainly wouldn't like much of my music, then. I could only help you with Rock, but it's not my primary area of choice in terms of music.

Check out a band called The Black Keys. I'm not sure how much I like their new stuff, but their older stuff was good. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=3451033

Well, my favourite band is Children of Bodom. Still with me? I also like Dimmu Borgir, DevilDriver, Slipknot, The Agony Scene, Lamb of God and Thrice. Mostly Metal, especially Death Metal, Power Metal, and Black Metal. I do like rock, too.

Have you ever heard of vendetta red? They're a local band that just started a new project lately, but they're pretty good. It seems like you would probably like some of their stuff just from what you said you listen to.

Check out sisters of the red death. http://www.rhapsody.com/vendettared Some consider these guys emo, I think it's more of a slap in the face to emo's because if they weren't such p***ies this is what their music would sound like :P

Not a music fanatic, but I think you'd enjoy Evanescence. No, they are not an emo band like some people say. That title is held by Linkin Park.

Wow, you like more different stuff then me. The latest CD that I got is Senses Fail's "Still Searching", which is pretty good. If you don't listen to Rise Against, I defenitely reccomend them. Both the bands I mentioned are alternative/punk. (according to what their CD's label them as)

As for Hip-Hop, I suggest Strange Fruit Project, Zion I, Cunninlynguists, Lupe Fiasco, Murs, Madvillain (and some MF DOOM, Viktor Vaughn, and King Ghidorah, and DangerDoom if you enjoyed that), K-Os, Camp Lo, and Cannibal Ox (if you like weird beats).

I'm mostly a rock/alternative person, though I do like some hip-hop stuff.

What's difficult in suggesting stuff is that it's easy to state obvious bands, and I don't know what you've already listened to. But I can at least try.

Radiohead is very good. Their early stuff is more straight ahead rock, but as time passed, they moved towards more and more electronic sounds. OK Computer is probably their best album. Pretty classic right there.

I like Coheed and Cambria a lot. The lyrics don't really make sense, but it's good rock (kind of prog-y), and for some reason, it's catchy, against all logic. Took me a little bit to like it, but now, they're one of my favorite bands.

Wolfmother is like classic rock, except its new. They're good, IMO.

Kings of Leon is great. I'll just leave it at that.

Everything else I say you either might not like, or you've probably already heard of.
