Hyped where?  And it is a solid game, people just have GeoW goggles on and are playing it as such.

Already lost to FF12,  40/40 > 37/40   :P  It's also going to lose in sales wise. So, it's pretty much a loss all around ;)  Probably will drop off the map in only a few weeks.

Well, this review is from Japan, so I'm not sure why you're praising it now.  It still has an uphill battle here anyway. Even if it beats FFXII, it still has to deal with FFVII (9.5), FFVIII (9.5), and FFX(9.3) coupled by the fact that RPGs historically haven't done that well here due to saturation.

I posted a troubleshooting post in the XUFU forums, but I doubt anyone ever looks there often.  You may want to take a look at is as it addresses the problems people have been having with the controls being too disorienting or non-responsive.  The multiplayer experience is mostly marred by the bad default control scheme and people having no idea what they're doing when gameplay starts. This is especially apparent in team elimination, but it's gotten a lot better over these past few days.  12-16 player battles are recommended, to me at least. They're the most intense and exhilerating experiences I've had in awhile.  You may feel the exact opposite, but I think GeoW mp is boring as hell.

There's no helping that, I guess.  It's altogether a different experience than other shooters, so if it doesn't mesh well with you, I guess that's to be expected of some people.  I'm just excited that there are 2 other MP modes that I've yet to try out, especially Post Grab.  I'm expecting a lot more diversity of play here, not just simple deathmatch.  All I ever see in GeoW is Warzone or Execution and they're practically the same thing, which is pretty stupid.

3x the length?  It's already been confirmed that BD is a 40-50 hour game.  DQVIII absolutely eclipses it. So does FFXII.  If you mean 3x in length in terms of DISC SIZE, then you're right...which isn't saying much at all.

Yet, you immediately assume I'm a fanboy for the series?  Yea, go blindly on your way.  Hell, even I like Disgaea more than FF.  And saying the additional side quests make this game 3x longer than the other games, you must be off your rocker.  Including side quests, FFXII and DQXIII offer gameplay well over 100 hours. So, what you're saying is BD offers 200+ extra hours of content? Please. Get off your high horse.
