Hero sucked, especially compared to Fearless. This movie was amazing, I gave up on Jet Li, especially after being bored to tears with Hero, but this is based on actual historic events, so its got an awesome story, very awesome battle scenes, and everything a movie should have, its not overly done in one category, story is mixed well with all the action and everything else. Definatly recommend it, especially since its his LAST martial arts movie.

I saw the HK version of this film before. Only reason I saw it at the theatre again was because some friends hadn't seen it yet. I liked his earlier works better, but it was an enjoyable film. Saw The Departed today and I had no idea it was a remake of Infernal Affairs. All throughout the movie I was thinking to myself...wtf this movie is a total rip of Infernal Affairs. It nagged me to the very end because there were scenes that were literally carbon copies from the original film. I enjoyed the original immensely. Although The Departed was a good remake...I need to go buy Infernal Affairs and watch it again..the acting from it was just so much more powerful.
Anyone care to pull an Indiana Jones on Fuzzy? He left himself wide open :P (unless, of course...you have no idea what I'm talking about and have never seen Raiders of the Lost Ark...which would be a tragedy as it's a classic)
