FF (Outside of mario & pokemon I really haven't had fun with turn based battle systems), MGS (I've honestly tried to get into it, the controls suck), Halo (way overrated and I generally don't like console shooters, even if you give me the best one ever), Madden (I just don't like the game) & GTA (they took it 3d but I was still doing the same things, I got tired of it).
O ya, just saw your edit, I'm with you on Jak and Dexter series & Rachet & Clank series. I hate how it tries to do everything, I want a platformer not an action rpg shooter racer etc game.
Yeah I just remebered some. Metroid Prime and the GC Star Fox games. Metroid Prime I loved on SNES and when it was a 2D platformer, it didn't translate well into a FP game IMO, its just not the same game I used to love. GC also killed alot of N64 series I loved, Star Fox being another one (Mario a bit too, but its just impossible to make a mario game as good as Mario 64, so I don't mind so much)

Couldn't you have put a 'spolier warning' on that? I just started playing it yesterday for the first time ever.....:? I still haven't played it :( We just got gutted like fish...:( But thats gotta be one of the most famous spoilers in gaming history, like I know tons of people who never play it but still know of it.
I enjoyed FF7 in a way most people didn't, most went to play it to see how great it was, with a bias going in, so that could be why they hated it, I played it before even knowing FF was a big series, It was the third FF I played, not knowing before hand what the characters were, the story, etc, it was 100% spoiler free, I think accidental spoilers ruined the experiance for most of the people who played it late.

Everyone and their mother knows about that. I'm surprised you've gone this long without hearing about that. That has to be one of the most famous plot twists in videogame history. And the one everyone knows about.
