Man, the cast for this film is just stacked. One of the best movies I've seen all year. It was a bad movie to take a thirteen year old girl to though -.-JJGYI know :lol: Especially with them dropping the F-Bomb ever millisecond
[QUOTE="Kama151"]*spoiler* Infernal Affairs is better

Really depends on your taste. For those that saw the original Chinese film, they usually find the American remake to feel all together inferior in terms of how well the characters are acted, especially Matt Damon's character. Leonardo does a great job portraying Tony Leung's job, but Tony totally owns his role in the original film. I found The Departed entertaining, but I went in not knowing it was a remake. The entire time I was thinking to myself..."Wow...wtf, this is a total rip of Infernal Affairs...except many of the scenes, though carbon copied, just do not have the same impact of the original. Thee original carries an atmosphere about it that just drives the movie. In The Departed, Jack Nicholson pretty much drives the movie. They also did not use the original ending of the movie, which is a shame. Original is on DVD, so check it out.
I might check it out. Scorcese's last film The Aviator was very well acted despite lacking what Scorcese does best - criminals. If this is back to his crime roots ie. Gangs of New York, Cape Fear, Taxi Driver, Casino, Goodfellas et cetera then I might just check it out. Clint Eastwood's Academy Awards rival Flags of Our Feathers also looks good but i've been hearing some bad critiques of it....man-of-mystery2
I had the story spoiled by an aquaintance of mine (who I then beat to a pulp :P), but I'm still interested in possibly seeing it, and maybe I will when I get around to it. jetpower3

"How's your mother?"
"She's on her way out."
"You all are, act accordingly."
I am so seeing this. Anyone else feeling the Leo is starting to actually become a great actor? I mean, he was fantastic in the Aviator, and he looks like he's giving a solid performance in this also. And if he does well in Blood Diamond (which I am also seeing)...well, call me shocked. He's come a long way.

D'oh, I forgot about that one! He was pretty good in it too. Leo's not just some pretty boy like in Titanic anymore.
