It actually beat my expectations (7.0) I think I have to buy it in lunch day!
I'm really excited about this game's online.
it's a shame...brawl has so much more effort put into the game itself....but it's online is bare bones.
Meanwhile this game was in development for not nearly as long...and it get's the best online the wii has seen.
it'll all go to hell once the blue shell effect kicks in.I'll be getting this game today :) should be another one of those games that my wife and i will enjoy together. far too few good games like that sadly.

I played a bit of it, GS and IGN were about right. It has the feel of the old Mario Kart games to it and the online is huge improvement from SSBB. This is one game I will probably never get tired of...

hmmm i don't notice it anymore than there was on mario kart ds. oh and i tried using the wheel and the nunchuck. the nunchuck is SOOOO much easier since it auto centers. I actually think the wheel requires much more skill to for old school gamers to get used to. but it seemed to handle quite well.
Like Blaze said, it really felt like playing mario kart ds but i thought a little more fun with the stunts. oh and i'm also amazed at how well the online is in this one.
so i finished the 50c and 100c with 1st place on all pretty easily but the 150c seems a lot tougher. I guess i'll need more practice. but I did unlock my mii which is great :) though i think that should have been allowed without unlocking.Ontainyou using the wii wheel as well?
I want to meet the suits at Nintendo who thought it was a good idea to release Mario Kart Wii only about a month after SSBB and right before GTA4.PBSnipes
They're not quite as stupid as you might think, considering that the people who buy Mario Kart Wii (most of them anyway) I don't expect to buy GTAIV. But so quickly after Brawl was a bad move.

i've been using the nunchuck mostly for single player. i think it's easier but i plan to use the wheel more when i play vs ppl. I have much more respect for ppl that can race really well with the wheel. It seems like it takes most skill and reflexes.

I use wiimote and nunchuck most of the time. I don't see any problem with it. it's quite comfortable.
Tried it and I agree :)I'll tell you as soon as I get a chance to retrieve it. Honestly, whats the point of having a Wii code if each game is going to have another individual code :roll:what's your MK#?
mine is 3952-7441-9128

 now you guys are making me want MK Wii  I need money... :(yoshi_64
I played a few races at my local GS and I was really impressed with how responsive just the remote itself was. There are a few games I'd like to pick up for my Wii (SMG, Super Paper Mario, and MK:Wii). I was able to find a copy of Wii Fit the other day so I picked that up and so far I've been impressed by it.

Yeah, I played it at my local Best Buy too. It was very nice... I liked the way the controls felt and the Wii Wheel didn't feel bad at all actually or as cheap as I'd thought.*sigh* but I have to save up for MGS 4. I mean... I need to play SOMETHING on my PS3.... and I like MGS ....

I have some FYE gift cards from Xmas saved up for MGS4. My only concern is that I know I'll be lost with the story. I'm in the same boat as you though, I need something to play on my PS3.
Yeah, I'm expecting to be lost on MGS 4 as well I think.
I haven't played MGS 2 and know nothing of the storyline in the game. I could spoil it, but I'll play the game... some day. For now... I have MGS TS for the GC and MGS 3 Subsistence on my PS2. I'll give MGS 3 a whirl maybe before I play MGS 4 again.
