I don't know what happens, but everytime I post in SW I get moderated. It's like someone is looking for an excuse to mod me. Not sure who I pissed off, but I'm staying clear of there.
I have a love/hate with it. I love arguing, but the level of "less intelligence" is getting absurd.
However, I hate being modded for small junk.
Why is there one sticky for Halo 3 and all others are quashed? You can't have a meaningful discussion on all its facets and flaws with it being smooshed into one single thread.

I agree with this. one 30 page mega thread isn't useful for having converations on different aspects of the game.

You are preaching to the choir. I think they need to ease upa little bit. You can't have any decent discussion in a megathread - it just gets lost.
I just find it so boring now. The only time I ever even check it anymore is when a big game is reviewed and then I see the crap people post and it makes me never want to go back.
When I first started posting there (like a year and a 1/2 ago I loved it, but now...not so much.
I'm bored with it. It's just the same thing over and over again. The same stupid arguments, the same mindless trolling...finding a thread worth posting in which sparks genuine debate and a free flow of differing opinions is rare nowadays, and the community threads in which we would pretty much forget our "alliances" and just have fun talking with each other are pretty much nonexistant. I try posting there every now and then, supoporting GUFU members, posting in the few good threads that exist but I cannot bring myself to post with any degree of regualrity anymore.
Besides having a disproportionate amount of intelligence-lacking posters who readily latch onto the latest marketing hype/spin, all the big meaty threads come off of flame bait and it takes too much time to find those 3-4 posts with genuine insight amidst the thousands of "me too" and "lol big time pwned" comments.
It's a place where the past and future are hidden from view and people talk about what's happening right now. Halo didn't help things.

What do you mean by Halo didn't help things?
I mean SW is sensitive to the "latest and greatest" and for the past few months Halo has fit that bill rather well. Neary a few hours would go by without someone claiming that Halo has the best music ever, or that it's the alpha and omega of video games, or on the flip side how it's the 360's swan song. IMO no one game deserves the amount of attention that Halo gets, and after a while it just wore on me.
Right now I find it boring. There is no hate, there is no love. It's boring. There aren't any debates worth getting into, the same rehashed 'console x pees on console y' that went about last generation. The mods have gone power crazy and have placed so many rules into effect due to QQing 13 year olds that one can't do anything for fun. OMG....an **** The earth may blow up: fact.
What's funny is when I tried posting this, the I B T L was auto censored. Awesome....:roll: Someone needs to grow up.
Back in the golden days, definitely love/hate. I was drawn to it yet would be angry and have a headache trying to argue with people that were so focused on their point you'd never change their mind. Yet I tried...it was part of the game.
Haven't posted there since September 8th or 9th... Place has gone downhill since fall of 05 when you had guys like ownage_god being banned and CNET merger ruining the forum.... Things were looking great in April (lot of great debates and fun OT discussion like that "show me the funny thread" by cgi-chris ) then May came and KABOOM. Hell froze over. You even had decent posters like E2ESQUARE banned. Then you had guys like hd28guy_basic and CLONING banned. And then you nearly had the entire cow section convert to something else or stop posting there. Then stupid arguments like PSP graphics > Wii graphics started happenning. I'll come back when its fun again which should be in the next ice age.
I usually went there so I could argue my point a bit, but now that I have realised none of the fanboys listen to reason and no argument, no matter how good can change their mind, or even make them realise they are wrong I have pretty much lost all interest of that place.

There must be a reason, if you a blatantly being wrongly moderated go to ask the mods, ask for an explanation from them atleast of why it is happening.
Back to the topic, I get bored, I keep seeing the same topic usually. Which means I just repeat myself over and over and that gets boring fast.
