There wasn't exactly a lot of fighting, more of just people building crap to beat the other while having a finger over the, "Nuke the **** out of the other country." button. As WarGames taught us, "The only winning move is not to play."

Probably because when people think of evil army regimes, they think of the coal-scuttle helmets and jack-boots of the Nazi regime. They are the very icon of evil, so gamers can't have a smidgeon of regret killing one (of course, not all Nazis wanted to put Jews in ovens, but the American youth are tought that they did). Now, Freedom Fighters did a great job of making Communists into something as evil as the Nazis (especially with the little scrolling text news announcements in the SAFN broadcasts. 'Need to get rid of your pet? Take them to pets4free in Lincoln Tunnels, and we will take good care of them.' *several text articles later* 'Need to get meat to feed your family with? Come to meat4free in Lincoln Tunnels to recieve five pounds of unspecified meat once per week').

This could actually be pretty school. I'm salivating over the thought of taking out Tiger tanks and fighting SS in the middle of a 1940's New York City. ak47lover

Well, only because Germany's supply situation was not exactly great. If they are strong enough to take over America in this alternate reality, then they probably have taken over the Middle East as well, along with their oil.

Yeah, the complete lack of any US military presence in Freedom Fighters made me wonder. I can imagine Chris (the main character) sitting on a dock in New York Harbor, watching the Soviet fleet sailing away...then a column of US tanks shows up. Yeah, thanks for the help a**holes.

We really don't know whether this game is going to be centered around guerilla warfare or army fighting. I'm hoping for a mixture. True, taking out a Tiger is hard in any situation, but the Guerilla portion could have you use sticky bombs and plant them on the rear. That would at the very least immobilize them, and allow your and/or your squad to flee.
