The review is up, and I dissagree with some things that ar mentioned. I don't think the platform elements are "awkward" as they say, I thought they were great in the original and so were the dungeons. So if everything is the same, then it should be just as great.
I think it's kinda a dissapointment that after all this time, the devs can't seem to go around slowdown and more importantly, the long loading times on the PSP. I'm sure there must be some ways.
IMO I think it's more than worthwhile for people that never played the original, as it's a truly great RPG.
Also nevermind the review, the original one sucked big time to begin with.
This is why I HATE Gamespot reviews, 10x more recently with Loco Roco's, I guess its because it wasn't a GTA Clone, right Jeff? :roll: The first game deserved a 9, MINIMUM, and it got shafted hard, so it was obvious it would happen for this as well, gamespot screwes over every RPG that isn't mainstream or Final Fantasy. I'm going to get it, because the PS1 version is so expensive now.

Well I've only played the original and it didn't have them. So it's just what GS said, and they tend to exaggerate things.

A POV from someone who loves the genre so avid RPG players can get a review from someone who plays them just as much as you and a POV from someone who doesn't play the genre on a regular basis or at all so people who are the same as them can get it from someone just as new or not experienced in the genre as the reader.

That's the rest of my year pretty much. Christmas is the recovery period (or if I don't have the money/can't find a PS3 on launch, then X-Mas money will be a big help) I need to see about setting up a eBay account.....

I'm sure he's still spoiled with Oblivion (which after the first few hours of awing me, it started to wear off and I lost interest in the game; IMO, not deserving of the 9.6. An 8-8.7 is my range; looking to sell it now.) They really need to fix the reviews though. What is the point of giving the duty of reviewing a game to someone who doesn't enjoy the genre? How much are ya selling it for? Whatever I can get for it. I'm having my bro take some 360 games into EB and whatever I get is going towards VP and preordering FFXII CE. From there, I'm saving for PS3 and will probably only pick up 1 or 2 more 360 titles (360 games have mostly been "miss" for me so far.) and the rest will be PS2 titles (sig) and 2-3 PS3 launch/around launch games. That's the rest of my year pretty much. Christmas is the recovery period (or if I don't have the money/can't find a PS3 on launch, then X-Mas money will be a big help) I need to see about setting up a eBay account..... Well I wouldn't mind buying it from ya as I havn't seen the 360 version in town anywhere and next week I'm prolly gonna put a 360 on layaway. I'd be happy to. How much? Cause I'll have to get it back before my bro takes it in. I told him to trade in Oblivion, GRAW, FNR3, and X-Men (Obl. and GRAW are going for $32ea + $10 bonus for 2 360 games = $74 and whatever the other 2 + $10.) and to preorder FFXII CE and pick up VP with what he gets. Hmm, thats actually not a bad price at all, considering Gamestops usual. What are you willing to sell it for? My computer can't run the PC version anymore so my brother bought it from me. ~ same would be nice. (Don't ask....)
Well it was pretty much a straight port of the PS1 original. That's probably why it was scored a 7.5. GS usually frowns upon ports and rehashes (not saying that makes this a bad game or anything).

PSM gave it a 9.0 and Game of the Month over Tekken 5:DR :o I sent my brother to go trade in those games today and he said they didn't have it :evil: Bastards.

I saw it online at EB games :| I thought about just telling my bro to put $40 of it on credit and then I could just order it online but ended up getting SF:AA instead.....now I gotta make a decision.....
