I told myself if I ever found a great deal on a 360 this year, I would have to buy it. This is an opportunity I can't pass up. Just hope I'm fast enough.

Even with all the regular Premium extras added like a headset, HD cables, an extra wireless controller and the HDD, it's still much cheaper than a Premium 360. And with the HD-DVD drive added on top of that, it's barely more expensive than the Premium package. In actuality, you are getting everything you would ever want from the 360 for the regular price. What more do you want on top of that, a chrome disc tray? :P

Wrong. Trying runs the risk of getting failure, which makes you feel bad that you even tried.
You should easily get it if you have a decent connection and just start refreshing the page a minute or two before the time. If you really have skills then you might want to have your email address copied to your clipboard.
Here's a question for you guys: On the off-chance that I actually get one, is there any way to upgrade the core system to be able to connect to the internet? I know you add an HDD, but I'm not sure about internet connection.

I fail all the time. If I wasn't failing at getting an XBox 360, then I would be failing at something else. I I'm going to fail, it might as well be with the chance of saving $200.

Yes. The core is exactly the same as the Premium 360 except without the HDD and the chrome disc tray.
Oh and it comes with a Wired controller instead of a wireless one.

I'm still getting the premium system, this was for a christmas present.
It wasn't that great of a deal if you want the premium system like me. Once it's all said and done you're still paying 300 dollars to make it like the premium system. And a store by my hosue is doing a 100 dollar rebate for 360 anyways.
well, I gotta thank you for posting this tekken. Without this thread, I probably wouldn't have known. And it's good to hear about your local store's offer....that's basically like getting a premium for the price of a core.
