android games like pokemon or monster breeding?

I can't believe nobody has cashed in on gps+monster catching better than in "Mobbles." Is there some multiplayer game (not necessarily with gps) where you catch/breed and battle monsters?

Or why isn't there a blatant rip off on pokemon on the play store
