I have been searching for ages for a replacement for the calendar I used to use on my old Blackberry phone which I loved. It had a veiw which showed the proceeding days as columns with rows for the time. Events then appeared as blocks on each day and you could scroll on top of them to see more details.

The key features I liked were firstly that the view started on today and showed the next 7 or 8 days, rather than a 'week view' that shows a full week. I dont really understand what good that view is on a Sunday! Next, the columns with the time showing events in blocks meant that you could easily see when you were free, which is much better than most calendars which just put the event time in numbers next to each event, which makes it very hard to see at a glance when you're free or busy.

I work shifts so I liked to see at a glance whether I was working early or late and if an important event was coming up, you could see it getting closer each day. Also, seeing as I work any day of the week, a week-based calendar is somewhat redundant.

If anyone knows of any calendar that has some of these features I'd appreciate hearing of it. I'm starting to feel that BB must have a patent on them or something!

have you tried google calendar on your Android? I'm not sure if every android has it native, but you can download it and well, obviously it syncs with your google account so you can have it in your pc as well. There is Go Calendar too. They're not as you described, but maybe you like them. Good luck!
