Is that you cant open a damn tab its just the one window you have to work in. I dont even use the facebook app anymore yes you can go back to where you were but it really isnt the same thing the mobile version is the same thing but with the ability to open tabs obviously. Same problem with wikipedia and all other website apps. Browser is where it's at really I dont even see the point of many of these apps.

Do you suppose something can be done with this? Seems to me it's inherent OS limitation.

I guess you haven't used dolphin browser, tabs pretty much work like a desktop browser.

The real question is what is the point of many apps out there when all they are is the mobile website, with no added features, really seems to many just want to cash in on the apps craze. Apps for things like messaging, email etc make sense but not for basic websites. Heck the gs app adds nothing the mobile website can't do, not even a mobile friendly version of the forums.

You didnt get me I am actually trying to say that using browser is so much superior because you can do tabs. The official android browser does tabbing effortlessly. None of the dedicated website apps can do tabbing thats why they are useless to me.

This definitely seems like something they could expose at the framework level for devs to take advantage of... maybe not enough people have an issue with it...?

I think it was originally meant for the tiny iphone screen so that people did not have to zoom in all the time. Now, however they are kind of pointless for our 4.3"+ phone screens.

Not really I still prefer mobiles sites. You really need atleast a 7" screen to comfortably use desktop versions.
