Part 1:
AFC East
Bills (6-10)-Losman seems to be showing that he's a pretty good QB. But from the last few seasons, probably won't be. He has a pretty good recieving corps, but he doesn't seem to be stepping up.
Dolphins (7-9)-Pretty much completely ripped up their QB depth chart and spit it out new. John Beck? I know, but not quite yet. I don't think he will even blossom, IMO. Their defense is getting far too old as a whole.
Jets (10-6)*-This team COULD make the playoffs again. Their defensive front 7 is skilled with Shaun Ellis and Jon Vilma, and their passing game can also be deadly with Pennington and his great group of recievers. They could repeat last year, and I think they probably will.
Patriots (14-2)-Wow, what an off season! Their offense suddenly became probably one of the best in the NFL! Laurence Maroney is projected to have a great year, which he probably will with his amazing ability to break tackles in the open field. Brady's "spread the ball" passing game would do wonders with his recieving corps, who are suddenly from one of the worst to one of the best with legendary Randy Moss and speedy Donte Stallworth. Their recievers from last year were also pretty good and OK. Teams really need to watch out for the 5 wide sets with this team.
AFC South
Colts (11-5)-Their division has gotten tougher, and these guys didn't get much better. Especially on defense and on the O Line. The passing game didn't change much and is still deadly, as usual, but they just lost too much.
Jaguars (9-7)-Could these guys make the playoffs? MAYBE, but I doubt it. Garrard and Leftwich? You gotta be kidding me! Get some better QB's and maybe we'll start to count you in. Your run game is amazing, though. Maurice Jones Drew and Fred Taylor are both amazing backs and can catch fire easily. Your defense is also OK.
Texans (6-10)-Meh, it'll still take a lot more to get this team from the bottom of the pit. They really need to improve their horrible O Line, if they want their offense to succeed. Do you know why David Carr didn't succeed? It's cuz he got this same horrible O Line that Schaub is inheriting! The defense isn't bad, but also needs more improvement if they wanna crack .500
Titans (7-9)-VY=Madden Curse! He will likely get hurt or something and this will leave the Titans out of the equation
AFC North
Bengals (7-9)-Here they are, the Jail Blazers! Most of their good players on defense are suspended, so their defense will be pretty bad this season. They have a few possible future studs, but it's probably not gonna be their time to shine yet. Also, their running game is pretty bad. Kenny Irons is out, and Rudi Johnson? He SUCKS! The Bengals have a great O Line, but even with a great O Line, he CONTINUES to get mediocre gains! Their running game will be horrible, and their only hope at the playoffs is if Carson throws for 5000 and 30 touchdowns... Which probably won't happen.
Browns (4-12)-Brady Quinn most likely won't start, and is overrated, anyways. Frye won't be throwing to a much different recieving corps. either. Their O Line has changed with the arrival of Joe Thomas, but the rest is the same old, same old, except for Jamal Lewis coming in. He should do great with Joe Thomas blocking, and will probably get a 1400+ season. Their defense is the same mediocre defense.
Ravens (10-6)-They're getting old. Steve McNair isn't getting any younger, and is probably close to retirement. Enough said about their passing game there. Their front 7, who were always great, aren't getting any younger either. Adalius Thomas left and Ray Lewis is well past his prime. Ed Reed is probably their only superstar on defense. Samari Rolle is pretty good too. But not a superstar.
Steelers (8-8)-Big Ben.. The question is if Big Ben is back. Yeah, he threw for 250 yards in the preseason against the Eagles starters, but will he keep that up? That's the entire question surrounding the Steel City.
AFC West
Broncos (10-6)*-Jay Cutler should have a pretty good season. But some people still have some doubts, like me. He has a GREAT recieving corps too, so that should help him. He has no reason to fail. Mike Bell could also be something great. On defense, John Lynch is getting old and overrated, and their linebackers are great, as usual. But their corners are now the best in the NFL! You can't ask for much more than Dre Bly and Champ Bailey standing on the same field!
Chargers (11-5)-With the complete reconstruction of the coaching staff, a TON has changed for the Chargers. LT will be amazing yet again this season, no doubt about that. Phillip Rivers should also fare rather well. The defense is also pretty good, but the coaching staff, who are pretty much totally new, will probably make the difference this year. Norv Turner is a horrible Head Coach and should go back to becoming a coordinator.
Chiefs (7-9)-Nothing much has changed. Damon Huard will be throwing this entire season and will give them a couple more W's on the chart... That's pretty much the only major thing.
Raiders (3-13)-This team is pretty much horrible. Jamarcus Russell probably will never even sign, with Al Davis being a complete cheap ass. Daunte Culpepper will continue to suck, and this team... really... REALLY needs to get back on their feet by firing a whole bunch of coaches and guys in the front office... They just need to pack it up, throw it out, and start over.
NFC East
Cowboys (10-6)-This team could be somethinggood this year. Marion Barber should be great with Julius Jones, so their running game is gonna be good. Romo is also throwing to the same old same old great recieving corps. The defense is also OK.
Eagles (8-8)-Well, it pretty much depends. Will McNabb wil be healthy? He is really the wehole question, sure there is Kolb, but like I said with John Beck... I'm not quite sure he will ever even blossom. If he will, it'll be much later. McNabb was pretty much the reason he took these guys to 3 straight NFC Championships before.
Giants (6-10)-Eli Manning is pretty inconsistent, and their running game is bad now with Tiki Barber done. Defense isn't much help to these guys either. They'll just have to cross their fingers and hope they can get Eli to start being consistent.
Redskins (6-10)-Jason Campbell is overrated. Enough said there. Their running game is also great with Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts teaming up as a great duo. Defense is pretty much mediocre and nothing special.
NFC South
Buccaneers (4-12)-These guys suck. They are all too old and aren't getting anywhere this season.
Falcons (9-7)*-Petrino HAD high hopes for Vick... But you can forget about that. If Joey Harrington can do what he did in with the Phins, it should be good enough. Not 3rd Overall talent, but it's good enough for the Falcons.
Panthers (8-8)-Well, the QB situation is pretty messy in Carolina. Delhomme is a HUGE question mark, and is probably on a short leash by now. That's why they brought inCarr, who people still wonder, "Was he just a bust? Or was his O Line just too bad in Houston?". I believe that's the whole thing behind the Panthers.
Saints (12-4)-Amazing offense, improving defense. Enough said.
NFC North
Bears (8-8)-Grossman is horrible. That's pretty much it about their passing game. Cedric Benson should do pretty well, though. On offense, Benson's their only help.Their defense is full of overrated guys, but are still pretty good.
Lions (7-9)-We upgraded our O Line, running game, and passing game. Or, in other words, our entire offense. Kitna, who threw for 4000 yards last season, should excel throwing to his tandem of Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, and Mike Furrey. Tatum Bell is also an improvement, and guys like George Foster brought in to help out the O Line also will help out the entire offense. But on defense, the loss of Dre Bly hurts their secondary too much. Gerald Alexander could be starting at safety, and from being a star in Boise State, people wonder whether it was the small school matchup that made him look good or what.
Packers (8-8)-The Pack should do pretty good. Not all that special, though. Brett Favre still has some juice left in him with his good recieving corps, and their defense is OK too.
Vikings (7-9)-Tavaris Jackson is a huge question mark. It pretty much depends on whether he excells or not. Their running game is great now with Chester Taylor and possible ROY Adrian Peterson in a tandem, and their defense is OK.
NFC West
49ers (8-8)-Their passing game is good with Alex Smith and Amaz Battle and Ashley Lelie. Not a great passing game, not bad, but above average. Frank Gore is gonna be your regular Frank Gore, amazing and MVP candidate. Defense is mediocre.
Cardinals (7-9)-Defense needs work, and so does the O Line. Until the O Line gets upgraded, that is when their potentially great offense can suddenly explode.
Rams (9-7)*-Stephen Jackson running the Ball and Marc Bulger, Tory Holt, and legendary Isaac Bruce create an amazing offense.
Seahawks (10-6)-Injuries hindered these guys last season. But near the end of the season, when their key offensive players like former MVP Shaun Alexander and Matt Hassellbeck came back, they became great and made a playoff run.
