5 Years Down the Road, Who Do You Think Will Be the Best RB?

It can be any one you think, in the draft right now, already in the NFL, whatever.

I am going to say Fred Taylor, just because. I think that Shawn Alexander will be the best RB that is not a Jaguar.

SometimesI explore the back pages when I get bored, too.

Question was asked in '05, it's been 2 years, less than 3 to go. So who do have now? Frank Gore and Steven Jackson seem like pretty good picks.

Jerome Bettis...

I hear him and Bill Cowher will be making a triumpant return to the NFL. lol

But in all seriousness,

Adrian Peterson...the one that plays for the Vikings, not the Bears.

He's already looking pretty good as a rookie. In five years, he will be MVP material.

LOL how many times has Adrian Peterson been injured? Like one major injury? Also, the collarbone is THE EASIEST bone to break in your body. It is thin, and little protection.

Darren McFadden. He has amazing speed and power combo. Guy could rush for 1,400 yards in his first season next year, believe that.

I don't understand why just about everyone on earth thought he just dove into the endzone. Watch from 00:27-00:30. If you tell me it was a celebratory dive still, I pity you.

Talk about a homer pick, dude are you joking? Anyone the knows football would never make a pick like that because FRED TAYLOR is ALREADY 31 freaking years old, thats an old man in the NFL.

On top of that, not including the year he was out he has averaged less then 1200 years a year so... .:? Buy I guess I can't expect reason from someone with your username can I?

To answer the question I reckon Willie Parker will be very high up there in 5 years, he's on pace for 2000 yards this year, of course though he has to face some harder teams then the current 3 they stomped so I think 1800 for this year is likely if he avoids injury.

Calm down? I'm sorry, but honestly you must be on meth if you really think I'm getting worked up about nothing. If he was joking great! I found the idea of Fred being big 5 years down the road freaking hilarious. Also I suggest you look up dictionary.com so you can learn the real definition of a tantrum kid :)

Adrian Peterson- Vikes will be the best. Have you seen how he can make something out of nothing? Just think of what he could do if he had better blocking (the Vikings blocking has been poorer than expected), and/or he didn't always have 8 guys stacked in the box against him! Yeah, assuming he stays healthy, AP (or AD, whichever you prefer) is going to be the best.

Not angry? Read your own words. Paragraphs one and two. And if you're gonna start talking about how stupid I am in English...

You were supposed to put a comma after "On top of that, not including the year he was out" in "On top of that, not including the year he was out, he has averaged less"

You used the wrong "then" in "Less then 1200"

Also, "He has averaged less then 1200 years a year"? WTF?

You were supposed to put a comma after "Dude" in "Dude are you joking?"

"Buy I guess I can't expect reason" was simply a typo so I"ll let you go on that.

You used the wrong then in"He has to face some harder teams then the current 3"

There was supposed to be a comma after "Face some harder teams then the current teams they stomped"

There was supposed to be a comma after "If he was joking"

There was supposed to be a comma after "So you can learn the real definition of a tantrum"

There was supposed to be a comma after "Way to make a fool of yourself"

Also, you missed a **** load of periods.

Do you see the date of his post? It was made over two years ago. Quoting him doesn't mean jack ****, seeing as how he doesn't even post here anymore.

detroit and zip, it's going to be hard to take both of you seriously from this point forward. :P

5 years down the road I like:

Jerious Norwood - Homer Pick Alert! (had the highest rushing average IN THE LEAGUE last year and Dunn should be retiring any day now)

Adrian Petterson - The kid is pretty big and very fast. A quick QB helps the running game too. He'll be racking up stats like crazy once those two get settled.

Joseph Adai - Peyton and the Colts will make him look like another superstar. In 5 years he'll be another Edge.

It's hard for me to pick Parker and Marice Drew because of their small quick style. Seems like the small quick guys are prone to injury and as soon as they loose a step they're basically worthless.

1. Ladainian Tomlinson will still be the best 5 years from now, because he is just that good.

2. Joseph Addai because he is a big part of the Colts offense right now and will still be one in 5 years.

3. Adrian Peterson already looks great in Minnesota and I don't expect him to slow down.

lmfgdao, you could go through half the posters on GS and find a billion spelling mistakes kid! So what? If my posts were bad to the point were you actually couldn't understand what I was saying then you'd have a point, but it's not like that at all. I don't like to waste time, so I do what most people on the internet do and I just make sure my posts make sense, rather then make them english teacher approved.

Your right Shiro, :? I didn't think GS kept threads this old in the memory....

Clinton Portis you can use any source to find that out just simulate a season in Madden **** Portis always breaks the record for most yards in a season. But seriously in real life he is just one of the greats that hasn't really had that break away season yet but in 5 years hes gonna be great.
