cowboys are so screwed here. they will never win with tony romo. if he hasn't progressed by now he proably wont. worst part it they cant go after another qb because there isnt one. and he is a choke artist.

Peyton Manning is a fantastic QB. Before the Super Bowl win for him he was always criticized for never winning the big game. I'm not saying Romo will be the same...but yeah he does make critical mistakes in clutch moments like in Pittsburgh two weeks ago, the Seattle botched snap, and even last year's playoffs. I think they can win with Romo. They've been a different team ever since he replaced Drew "Sack me plz" Bledsoe.... Who can they bring in that is better than Romo? at the moment I don't see much at all who give the Cowboys the best shot at winning. Like many have been saying, leadership on the field, in the locker room , and off the field is what this team needs.

Giants game and the Redskins games weren't big? Im pretty sure they were huge games. Also im pretty sure Romo has never lost on a night game, while starting. Big games aren't played at night I guess. Also this  Never will talk. The guy is 28. 3 year starter. You know we all praise Big Ben for blowing for 3 quarters and being good in the 4th. Romo did this yesterday against the Ravens defense twice not once but twice and you still find a way to say he sucks. Yeah lets all forget that happend tho, lets just get pissed and talk about the first 2 quarters.

When (if ever) are u gonna get off his dick and admit that games can be lost in the 1st-qtr/1st-half?? Admit it dude, 75% of the time he throws a pick b4 he gets off the bus... in Pittsburgh (first 2 minutes) and vs Baltimore(first 2 mins). Perhaps he if took better care of the ball he wouldn;t need those late game heroics and maybe we could choke the will outta teams early, like by halftime . Let me put this another way, to hep u better understand my point: What would u say about him if he were an Eagle or a Redskin instead of a Cowboy... that he is still teh awesomeness?!

Those 2 picks accounted for zero points.  Nice job dude. Really lost the game that early there, damn Romo. Damn him! If he was a Redskins or Egal id say hes a waste of life, just like I do with Campbell, McChoke and Sheli. What point does that prove? That I hate the division QB's? Excellent.

My point is this: Take off your homer hat and judge the player (any player) as if he were an opponent -- would u still have same praise for him (or in this case "her")or be more critical? Don't hold back the hate just cuz he wears an f'in Star, be objective, if possible.

I wouldn't trade a box of Nate Newton's used jocks for Favre at any point in his career to bring him to Dallas -- now Favre Jr, is here and will soon be leading NFL in INTs when Sr retires, write it down

Romo needs to grow a pair and realise he needs to take better care of the ball, lest he become the Tarkenton of our generation: nice stats for the history books, but a perennial big-game choker.

Sure. *Takes off homer hat*. Ken Hamlin is a waste. Jason Garett is dumb. Flozell sucks.

Oh bringing up Favre again. You know when your hate for Romo started? During his first preseason game, when everyoen said he was like Favre. No it didn't happen after the Seattle game or Buffalo or Giants last year. It was during preseason when your little tinhead was like OMG FAVRE WEARING A STAR! GRR!!!!! After that your little Favre hating ass decided not to give this guy a chance. You saw him instantly turn around the team, and you still said NO! Its Favre GAH! I hate CHEESE and Green! You saw what Dallas did without him this year. Then you see him again bring the team big plays and instant sucess. But nope your little head once again says NO! GOD! He is Favre! AHH WHY! Romo could win the superbowl and you would say....Oh well Favre won 1 too but he is still a joke!

Hey I took off my homer hat, you should take off the melted cheesehead.

I think they CAN win with him, but I don't see it happening this year. And that's really not all his fault. I mean he does throw alot of picks, but who can they throw out there that's better? You gotta stick with him. I hate the guy, but i won't write him off simply because I wrote Peyton off many times and he ended up winning the big one eventually.

they will never win with tony romo.ocdog45

Not to burst your bubble, but the 'Boys have already won with Romo, and on numerous occasions. :|

Haha, just messin' around. I know what you're referring to: "big" games. Well, like Espurs mentioned, Romo has already won "big" games (in the regular season, of course). As for the postseason-type of "big" games, I think Romo will eventually pull off wins (or a win). Maybe time is all that is needed. Or better coaching. Or more focus on offseason drills. Whatever it may be.

Look, Romo isn't the best, but I don't think it would be a good idea at all for the 'Boys to jump ship to another QB. We all have seen how well Brad plays. So, screw him. But then, who is left (or currently on) the market ? Not anyone that I know who could competently replace Romo. :?

While Romo is suspect to pick 6 in 4Qrt like eli was pass couple years, doesnt mean he cant big one.

Remember their 52 guys on that roster each has step up,from what saw last week romo did what he could but time ran out on him and dallas look like playing flag football on D-line.

The real problem is he has "peyton sydrome" Peyton use think all had do score quick and fast and in bunches..which lead to him getting blankout and pick 6 in numerous playoff games, however after watching brady for awhile,he learn making long drives and wearing out the D-line would made his gameplan easyer and put pressure on his proformance

My bet is you change your mind on romo if they make playoffs after a big game

yeah but someone has to take hte fall and its him. damm spurs loves his QB. hes like T.O. last year. somebody else said that he as won big games. NO he has NOT! 13-3 means nothing when you loose in the first round. they couldnt beat the pats last year... big game, they coulnd't beat the giants in the playoffs,.... big game, they lost to the redskins in the begining of the season... always a big game, they couldn't beat the steelers or ravens..... both big games. LOSERS! prove me wrong tony! but he sucks and they wont win a super bowl which is hte only thing that matters with him.

He hasn't won a big game? You just stated that playing the Redskins is always a big game and they beat them after their bye week to keep playoff hopes alive, you don't make any sense. Is the Redskins game a big game or not? Is it only a big game when the Cowboys lose the game to you? Make up your mind because you contradicted yourself.

Peyton could never beat Pats once upon a time,Eli always choke agaisnt the Vikes,Mcnabb never the NFC championship....but in due time they prove nay sayers wrong.

Im not saying Romo turn into superman next year but you gotta give him sometime.

You can't be all happy and good when throw 300+ yards then scorn him when you have a pick or 2

in other word you can't have your cake and eat too.

I would luv for eli to throw 35 Td a year...but as long as he has winninging record and have us in the playoffs I'll glady take it over the 35 tds

I know who your talking about and yes I think he is one of the Problem he is like the Brayon of the Cowboys, and he is T.O.

Yes that is right he complains about not getting the ball, and then when he gets it He does what He drops the ball.

BUT, that isn't the 'boys only problem there is also Romo, and alot of other players like Roy Williams, does Romo ever pass it to him as much as the Loins used to?????

I think I may not know fully what I'm saying but, I do know that if the 'boys get to the promise land (NFC Playoffs), then Romo will be the one that does gets blamed, if or when they lose, Romo shouldn't be the one the whole team should be, because this is what football is all about IT'S A FREAKIN' TEAM SPORT.............. not like golf where it's just you playing by yourself.

Dallas fans were freaking out after they were 3-1 when they lost to the skins. Some people just need to get a grip.

We shall see on Sunday.

Either way the eagles will come fighting. If they have a shot at the WC, they fight and try to win. If they see they're out of the playoffs before kickoff they come fighting and will want to bring the Boys down with them.

Agree! I mean Romo is not doing so well but its not only his fault! Williams ran 2 wrong routes, Barber dropped a fumbul, And the defense let the Eagles offense score on the first half back to back!

I think they would have been motivated by the chance of ruining a "hated rival's" season anyway.... either way the cowboys just didn't have the fire in them during the game.

sports nation poll

"What a pathetic performance by the Cowboys. They should be embarrassed. Wade Phillips needs to be fired and they had better realize they don't have the right QB."
