Bears pick starting RB

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (Sept. 3, 2006) -- Thomas Jones will start for Chicago Bears at running back, regaining the role he lost before training camp after missing voluntary offseason workouts.

His competitor, Cedric Benson, injured his shoulder after taking a hit during a training camp practice and for the second successive year did not play in a preseason game. Benson held out last season after the Bears chose him in the first round.

I guess it's a bit too early to call Cedric Benson a bust just yet because he really hasn't seen significant playing time. axel360

Yes, im just stating that you cant call someone who hasent played a bust.

This was expected. Not really a knock against Benson though as Jones has really stepped up his game to hold onto that job.wallymartin

In that division they dont need a qb......who has one really? Farve is the best one and he threw 30 picks last year. Or something like that.
