We are all gamers that love the National Football League. We are all going to buy Madden NFL 2006 because it is now our only NFL gaming option. This fall a couple of football games are going to be released that have no association with the NFL.

Road to Sunday from 989 Sports: A story driven football game where fictional football, underground fighting and Texas Hold 'Em collide.

and

Blitz the League from Midway: A remake of the classic action sports sim with slow down bullet-time, 10-second play clock and "juice".

I hope that at least one of these games is a good one. I love the NFL but I don't like the fact that only one company can make an "official" NFL licensed game.

The better these two games are the more EA has to care about keeping Madden innovative.

Which one of the two "bootleg" football games are you most looking forward to playing?

Blitz schmitz it'll most likely play like all the other "extreme" sports game out there. that stuffs for the nintendo kids. Football's all about the atrtegy from play to play. so if i had to choose I'd go with 'Road to Sunday'.

All things being equal I'd be playing 2K6. 'cause 2K5 kicked maddens can up and down the field

I don't think anything will be better than madden. Even if those games had the real player games i wouldn't buy them.

i see it this way, blitz hasn't been good for awhile, i don't see that changing, and we all know 989's reputation with sports games, the fact that they suck, so neither of them will be good in my opinion
