Maybe that motor cycle crash did more than we thought?

But i really have no clue of what his problem is, but being the QB they can't win games if he keeps turning it over.

Lets see if i were to game plan the Steelers O i would put 2 man on Hines Ward shut him out witch most teams have done this year, and no more Antwan Randell El so it makes it easy ier on me. Put 6 men in the box on every 1st and 2nd down because they love to run on 1st n 2nd i would get those DT to just rush them middle and force them to win by air. Whenever Willi Parker is on the field i would have my OLB to spread outside because he is dangerous if you give him space, any other RB of theirs i would just do a gap rush with my LB.

Steelers can't win through the air so if you just can find a way to stop their run game you can win

He said that he was moments away from dying until the paramedics came so the accident caused not only physical distress but mental distress as well.

Ok here is the deal with Big ben. His first 2 years in the NFL were just plan luck. He just got put with a good team that is all. The steelers the last to years have been a running team. Ben only threw about 15- 23 passes a game. Now that the Bus is gone he has no one to give the ball to who can get the tough yards up the middle. So teams know they can plan on the there other running back who can only run on the outside. Another thing is the steelers D is not really playing well. The first 2 year with the Ben the were 1 the on the best, So the offence did not have to score that much to win. Now in the Super bowl the seahawks got cheated, there were so many bad calls in that game its not even funny. So by now if you don't know by now I hate Ben and  he is still learning how to play this game as a pro.

Luck?....come on.  You can be lucky for a game or two, but to win the Super Bowl, I don't think so.  One guy does not win the games for you, the team does.  I am not a big fan of Ben R. but he has some talent.  People were saying that about Brady when he filled in for Bledsoe at first, look at the reactions now.  So if Ben (that is a BIG if) wins another super bowl, will that be luck too?  Give the team some credit.  I don't think he is fully recovered yet.  With all the big name QBS this season that had surgery (Breese, Culpepper, Rothlesburger, Palmer) and coming back without missing a game, I can see as, he didn't feel he had a choice but to play.  Give hime some time, he should be able to turn things around.

My uncle was in a cycle wreck and his brain has been at a 10-13 yo level his whole life.  If your face gets smashed in.. your brain had to be jarred some.  Playing QB is all about making instant decisions .. and his brain might be firing a half second slower.  I'm no doctor.. so of course I'm just guessing.

All that said.. he missed all of the preseason.  Hines Ward has been missing a ton of time too.  However, you can't blame it on the people around him because Batch came in game 1 and put up some decent stats and a win.

Yes I do argree it takes a team to win a Super Bowl. But when Brady came and played for a team that everyone thought they would never make it to the Super Bowl that year. Came out and won the Super Bowl with a run game that needed work. But Brady did have a great coach. Right now Ben still needs to get better. Also in the Super Bowl game did you see some of the calls? I do think Ben will win another Super Bowl in a few years.

Whatever happened to respecting people's opinions?  Why not respond to his post and have a civil argument, rather than simply calling him an idiot.

During Ben's first two years in the league the Steelers defense was awesome, top 5 in the league. This year they are only pretty good. It's the same thing with the running game also. Last year Willie Parker averaged 4.7ypc, this year he is averaging 3.8ypc. With the running game the last few years he threw very few passes and was asked to manage games instead of winning them. 2004  - 14 passes per game; '05 - 22ppg; '06 - 34ppg. In the Super Bowl Ben threw 2 INTs and the only Pittsburgh TD throw was by Randle El. Ben's QB rating in the SB was 22.5 (highest possible is 158.3, yikes!) I always thought he was overrated(me being a Browns fan and all) however I always thought he was ok, not terrible,  as he has been. Whether or not the accident or the appendectomy have anything to do with it I think it might, but, that is not the only reason.

This is the reason his season isn't going so well.  He'll overcome it in awhile and start playing like he did his first two seasons.

i hope he stays in this funk for one more game so the chiefs can get another road win this year.  i admire him as a qb, but riding a motorcycle with no helmet is one of the DUMBEST things that anyone can do.  i hope he learned his lesson after that.

Ben was never really a numbers guy and I dont really like him. He's played some tough teams and I'm sure he'll rebound, but he will have more INT's than TD's this season.

I agree it was luck Ben was put in a system where he just had to hand to ball of and throw a few times a game. Bill Cowher never put ben in a situatuion where he had to win the game himself like Tom Brady can becauuse he know he cant. Besides Rothlisberger sucked in the Super Bowl look at his Qb rating for that game it was like 40. He sucked so bad to get a passing touchdown they had to get Antwan Randle El to throw the dam ball. I dont understand how damage to your face affects the way u play. Plus if the accident is the reason he sucks well then too bad maybe you should be more careful when ur ridin ur motorcycle like wearin a helmet , not goin so fast, or not running into a freaking parked car. Im sorry but your a complete idiot if you run into a parked car.
