George Blanda and Testaverde hands down
After a nuclear winter hits, Brett's gonna round-up a bunch of cockroaches and teach them to play football, cause he won't be done yet.

Blanda. He played from around the 50's/60's all the way to his final John Madden team in the 80's.
I wish he'd just retire at the top of his game instead of playing until he's an embarassment..
Herrdoktor
To be fair, the top of his game was several years ago, and he was an embarrassment the last two years.

Yup, and now he's having a great season. Retiring after this year would be ideal, regardless of what happens in the playoffs. We'll see if he can keep it up next year.Honestly, I think Favre will keep playing until he isn't having fun anymore. However, I think if, and this is a huge if, if they beat the Patriots (supposed greatest team of all-time) in the process of breaking just about all the passing records this year, then I think he should retire. I can't think of a better way to go out.Toucanbird
Agreed, but Favre will probably still want to play one more season

I wouldn't blame him. Elway wanted to play another season after Super Bowl XXXII.

Well the main difference between Favre's Situation and Elway's situation, after Elway won his second Superbowl, he was really left with no choice, but to retire, because of that torn Tendon in his bicep, or whatever it was, because I am sure the thought of trying to win 3 in a row was tempeting, but Elway just was not able to continue anymore
While Favre on the other hand is in pretty good Physical Shape and has no issues like that, this late in his career, so I say if he wants to play for another year, go ahead and do it, because once you are retired, you are through
If he still has it in him and wants to play I'm fine with it, I'm not fine though with these players saying they are retiring then before the draft they say I'm playing
He should come back, Favre has got a great team to QB with and if they had not lost to Dallas this season then Green Bay would of been first, but what are you going to do.
I want Favre to come back and keep putting number up, he is fun to watch. But if he comes out and doesnt have the same kind of season he might call it quits, but no one really want to see Favre retire!freediro
This type of season next year is gonna be a lot to ask for...
he's shut me up
i said a few seasons ago he should just retire, now hes playing amazing football
but if he wins the superbowl (i think the Packers will) he should call it quits
[QUOTE="Ryder004"]wow looks like GB fans get to save thier tears for 1 more season-Micro-
Look, you don't even have to be a Green Bay fan. If your not a Brett Favre fan for as cool of a person that he is I worry about your fanhood.
i dont belive in the whole concept of being a fan of a player now matter how great they are if u wana do that then thats cool, and worry about ur own fanhood cause judging by ur avatar id say ur a cheesehead, but i know ur not
If he wins the Super Bowl, watch for him to retire. I really hope that happens so he can go out like Elway did, at the top of his game.HumanTorch101
Either his arm or legs have to fall off, for him to stop and Quit. :Pwwe4ever_in05
That got me thinkin', if his right arm magically falls off, he'll start throwing with the left. :P
