Neither. he should be kicked off the team. Any player who would show his team and coaches that kind of dis-respect should be off the team.

If you sign a contract honor it. If you don't think you are making enough, sign for more money when your contract is up. Until then shut up and play.

I hate hold-outs and Branch isn't exactly an All Star wideout.  I thought the Pats were supposed to be all about the team.

How does Branch holding-out make the Pats not all about the team? C'mon man I voted for ya, you should be smarter than that. Anyway, he should follow Rice's advice and get back in camp.

"I won't play unless I get more money" isn't exactly altruistic.  By it's very nature it is anti-team.  When a player gets more money, he crowds out other players because the team is unable to pay them.

Hold-outs should be released unless necessary to keep them. He's not exactly a All-Pro WR, so I say anyone who doesn't honor his contract should have that taken from him

Yeah, how is someone going to spend $100 million in a lifetime?

I'd be willing to give it a try. You can't fault someone for make as much money as they can while they can.

So are you still calling the Pats anti-team because of an individual? Were they still not all about the team when Seymour held-out last year? Bottomline, the Patriots are more about the team just as much if not more so than any other franchise out there. And if you don't think Belichick has a handle on this then you're sourly mistaken. So its all good.

Btw, congrats on becoming the new leader.

I didn't mean to imply that the Patriots as a whole were no longer "about the team".  Over the last several years, the Pats have been billed as the ultimate team, with every member putting the team first.  But there are individuals who have shown lately that they don't hold that mentality(Branch, Seymour, probably a couple others).  And you're right, Belichick will handle it.

And Thank you.
