Looks like they'll have some depth at wide receiver this year, now they just need a solid tight end.

You couldn't be more right... Thing is it's not like Kevin Johnson is this "threat" at wideout anyway, he hasn't been the same since he left Cleveland.

He didn't produce outside of Cleveland because he was in Baltimore and the Ravens have the worse passing game in football.

EDIT, az hakim is gone and MIKE WILLIAMS is here! their passing game better be awesome this year, it would be the first time in a long time.

Unfortunately the only way their passing game will be close to awesome is if they start that stud they drafted from Connecticut, Dan Orlovsky!!!!!

All the WR's in the world can't help you if the O-Line and QB stinks...

this is just another dumb move by the Detroit front office when they really should be signing o-linemen and defense

they got kyle kosier (OG)

they want to make sure and have enough good receivers in case two of them get hurt like last year.

WHY?

The most dynamic passing game in the world will not help you if you can't stop the other team. They SHOULD have gone with Derrick Johnson in the draft, anyway. What's with this Mike Williams stuff?

People get so enamored with the passing attack, but it's only ONE part of a team. Balanced teams win. One-sided teams don't.

i know what you're saying, but the problem with the lions last year was

1. receivers failing to get open

2. dropped balls

plus millen and mooch couldn't believe that someone as good as mike was left at #10, so they felt they had to take him.
