[QUOTE="Goliath_unit"]Panthers have Feely now, but you probably already knew that. Better than Dehommo.mvphalo8
No, I did'nt, I'm hearing it first from you.
But yeah whatever
Oh, but now you do know. :D
Good pick up. I wonder how Vick will play into this battle once he returns.haloraider
You know who Vick returns against? My Chiefs. F*** you Goodell and your continual screwing over of the Chiefs.
I feel bad for Garcia.
He may be old, but he is still good...better than a lot of starters in this league. But he gets kicked around so much...no respect for him.
Kind of sad.rawsavon
My thoughts exactly. I don't see why Garcia gets treated the way he does. He's old and doesn't have arm strength, but he's far more intelligent than most QBs in the league.

IMO he is better than:
David Garrard
Kyle Orton
Jason Campbell
Shaun Hill
JaMarcus Russell
Kerry Collins
Byron Leftwich
Jake Delhomme
Yes, some of these are probably debatable.
But you get my point...he was out of the league before this WTF

Like I said...open for debate...quick list off the top of my head.
My point was that it was hard to believe that he was OUT OF THE LEAGUE...crazy
And many of the teams listed are starting old/mid to late career QB's = not trying to start a young kid this year, so why not go with a better verteran QB over your crappy QB
-Broncos (no young QB's)
-Titans (Vince = fail)
-Bucs (freeman will start next year)
-Carolina (Matt Moore is not ready to start yet, project)
-St. Louis (1 year wonder Bulger with no Mike Martz to inflate his #'s)
As I already said, God decided to have mercy on the Eagles. At any rate, this re-signing is great news. Garcia performed very well with the Eagles before, no reason why he shouldn't this time.
I never did understand why they released him in the first place...

I wanted Garcia to give them the big 1, 2, F, U
After they released him and treated him that way.
But when you don't have a job...

Better to have a mobile Garcia who is good at the short pass than the stone statue known as Bulger who wants to go deep all the timeÂ
So...
Kolb is expected to start.
spfx30
Eagles 1-1, Saints 2-0
Seriously, if McNabb was healthy, I'd expect them to have the second or third highest record in the NFC (Giants #1, Saints #2-3). This would be the NFC to me if McNabb was heathly:
1. Giants (13-3)
2. Saints (12-4)
3. Packers (11-5)
4. Seahawks (10-6)
5. Eagles (12-4)
6. Vikings (10-6)
If McNabb is injured for a while and Kolb continues to start, they're out of the race (replaced by the Cowboys, more likey). Even if Garcia were to play for a bit, I'd see them at 10-11 wins.

IF McNabb stayed healthy...IF
That is like saying IF the Cowboys were good late in the year instead of early, we would have won 2 more Super Bowls
McNabb is never healthy.
That is why Philly was STUPID to let Garcia go the first time.
Also, Westbrook is on his last stand...hence Philly not picking up the option past this year.
I think Philly may be a dissapointment this year with all that talent.

Where did I say if McNabb STAYED heathy? This is saying that if McNabb is healthy, this is predicting the future, not the past.
Plus, the Giants have been able to adjust to an offence without Plax, which they really couldn't when he suddenly went down. So long as the defence plays well, the run game does as well as they're supposed to, the receivers keep possesion of the ball and aren't down late in the 2nd half, they're a top team.
We will see.
All it is right now is opinions anyways.
I just think that Eli has no got to guy and Jacobs wears down (like Barber) late in the year.
Eagles have the best talent in the East, but McNabb and Westbrook NEVER stay healthy.
Giants D is good, but I just see people shutting down the run and Eli with no go to guy that he is comfortable with
Eagles D is a ? at this point, they lost a lot, including coordinator.
I see Dallas, New York, and Philly all around 9-7, 10-6, 11-5 at the max.
All will lose more than 3 games.
In fact, I bet all 3 spilt the series with the other 2 = 2 losses already
Yeah, its just opinion. No need to argue.
Anyways, I do agree with you that if Jacobs is shut down, then the Giants will struggle on offence. Right now, I'm still unsure about the Cowboys. I see them going 4-1 at their bye (winning against the Bucs, Panthers, Broncos and Chiefs, losing to Giants). However, after the bye it gets brutal:
Falcons (think they can beat them, Falcons are overrated)
Seahawks (they're going to be much better this year)
@ Eagles
@ Packers (they're also going to be better)
Redskins
Raiders (Not that great, but they'll improve this year)
@ Giants
Chargers (Hurting, but Chargers haven't lost in December since 2005, Romo sucks in december)
@ Saints (Team to beat in NFC outside of East)
@ Redskins
Eagles
Thats not going to be fun.
Yes, the end of Dallas' schedule is the worst in the league IMO.
But it has been that way for years...part (not all) of the reason for late season slumps.
As a Dallas fan, I am hoping for 10-6 and wild card.
I think Dallas is built for a running, short pass game = good in cold playoff games
We have the best trio of RB's in the league...
IMO Tashard Choice is the best all around we have (felt that way after he tore up the steelers last year) and Felix is so explosive.
I really like the 2 RB and 2 TE set with Miles Austin = 2 great Blocking and receiving TE's, 2 speedsters in Felix and Austin, 1 power back in Barber.
I think Dallas will spilt with all 3 East Teams
Then going 2-3 against Atl (win), Seattle (win), San Diego (loss), Green Bay (Loss), Saints (loss)
Win the rest

The Eagles were also stupid in letting A.J. Feeley go and for ever picking up Kolb in the first place. The guy is a waste, period.

I still don't see what management sees in the kid. He is a turnover machine. Garcia should be the backup and Vick the number 3. Kolb doesn't belong on the roster.

Management is comforted by the thought that Kolb used to play well... in college.
Kolb actually has played decent this season, but he also threw 3 picks against the Saints and the Chiefs really suck.
But the Eagles are really deep at QB, even with McNabb gone. Kolb hasn't done abysmal so far, Garcia is smart and keeps the ball in his teams hands, and while Vick was rusty today and hasn't played in two years, he may get better as the season goes on.
.....and he's gone. Eagles cut Garcia.haloraider
Lol, poor guy if the Dolphins didn't get Tyler Thigpen i would have suggested Garcia signing with them.
Texan's yearly Schaub malfunction.Where garcia goes, nobody knows

That actually wouldn't be a bad idea. If Schaub does go down, they have two options: A- stick with a QB who is one of the most inconsistent QBs ever, or B- a QB who somehow stepped out of the back of an endzone. Not good at all if he goes down.
