The Bears ran into some trouble in their first preseason game, projected starter Rex Grossman broke his ankle and will now be out for 3-4 months. This may mean that the 49ers wont be the worst team in the NFL, but the Bears do have a good defense, but a winning record wont be in sight unless a prominent starting QB comes into picture, the Bears used about 7 different starting QBs last year and it may be the same story again this year.
When's the last time the Bears have ever had a legendary quarterback? Never, according to my records. Say what you will about Jim McMahnon, but he wasn't a good QB at all. Rex was probably their best shot at having a good one, but that'll probably never happen since he's always injured. You can't say he's mediocre if you've never really seen him play many games in the NFL.

Yeah, but last year chad hutchinson was running for his life, and a bunch of their good defensive men were out like brian urlacker, atawaleia agunliea (i have no idea how to spell that), and some of their offensive line.

Yeah, I love how last year Miami was trading away players & draft picks like cigarettes in prison.
Hey, I feel for Grossman. I think he could have been, if not great, then really good. As it is, next year, they need to get a QB or fade into obscurity.

it wont be easy because the bears defense will keep them to 1 or 2 scores with the old - overated brett farve......and it is late in the season and rex MIGHT be back by then.
