Wide receiver Cris Carter and cornerback Darrell Green are the only first-year eligible players to make the list of 26 semi-finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2008. The Hall of Fame's Board of Selectors chose the 26 semi-finalists from the recently announced list of 124 preliminary nominees. Excellent. Guy, Monk, and Thomas are all still in it, as expected.

I just hope that DT gets in this year. He truly deserves it and many people don't like him since he never won a ring, yet entire teams built their gameplan around him and he still owned them.

He certainly does, but it's his first year of eligibility, so he probably won't be making it in.

I agree. But I've got my eye on this candidate because I'm wondering if the selection committee will treat him as they did M. Irvin and give him a first-ballot snub too, for his off-the-field problems.

Don't forget, Carter was run out of Philly ("all he does is catch touchdowns") bc of his substance abuse issues, far worse than those of the R. Williams variety, or he may well have been a career-long Eagle.
This will be further proof of an anti-Cowboys sentiment if Carter goes in on the first ballot! (imho)
