Well, a defense does tend to struggle against the #1 rushing team last year when their starting midde linebacker is ejected before the game. Mcnabb still played sloppy though. Maybe that hit he took to the chest earlier in the game was more than it would seem...

It was, just a minute ago on ESPN news I learned that Manabb had a cracked chest or something(I dont remember) but he is questionable for there game against San Francisco on Sunday.

I know I am in the minority here, but I don't think the Eagles are that good to begin with.

They play in the NFC, so it's really hard to determine how good they actually are.

When the Eagles beat the Steelers, the Patriots or the Colt then we can talk.

They just got spanked by the Falcons.
I knew they were going to lose, but not like that.

Your right they got spanked, they lost by 4 points and the falcons didnt even score in the seconed half, and it is not there fault they play in the NFC.

No it isn't, but it definitely skews public opinion to their favor.

The NFC right now is pretty bad, but it is getting better.
I just don't see the Eagles getting better at the same pace as other NFC teams.

This is one of those two answer questions.

Are they good in the NFC? Yes, they are good. Despite losing at Atlanta, the two teams played with the most intensity of any other teams in the NFL this week.

Are they good in the NFL? No, they are pretty average for an NFL team. I honestly don't think they will make it back to the Super Bowl this year.

 They aren't that bad. Who's going to knock them off the top of the NFC? The Panthers? They did a great job against the Saints last week. Minnesota? They're a playoff team, but they're no threat to the Eagles. The biggest threat to them is the Falcons, but then again, the Eagles didn't have Trotter...

In terms with the AFC, I put the Eagles somewhere in the top 5.

One of the best defenses in the NFL, as well as a top tier RB.

Yeah, they can easily be a playoff team.

I hate the Steelers.

They are lucky they got my #3 pick.

If the Colts can learn to stop other teams from scoring than there is only one team in the NFL that can beat them this year and that's the Patriots.

Every time the Patriots play the Colts it's some of the best football of the season.

top tier RB ?!? who might that be ? 'cause I know it aint westbrook, 800 yards and 3 TD, does not a top tier RB make.

They could make the playoffs, but since Atlanta beat them, and if Atlanta makes the playoffs, this is a sign that the Falcons do have the skills to beat them Eagles.

If Peyton has to play at Gillete he will lose. Period.

The Patriots have him so rattled it's not even funny. His basic mechanics are completely 'night and day' when he plays elsewhere.

Agreed, I dont think it really matters where they play, correct me if I am wrong, but is Payton Manning winless against the patriots. In My opnion, I will be kind of shocked if the Patriots dont make it to the superbowl.

I think he has beat the Patriots once in Indianapolis.

He has never won at Gillete stadium.

The worst part of it all is that some of Brady's best games are against the Colts.
So Manning can't win with his arm because he is playing against another elite QB.

Eagles can make it back to the super bowl if T.O. and Mcnabb become best friends and start talking off the field.
