McNair isn't enough to turn this franchise around just yet.  I'm thinking they'll be just below .500, probably 7-9.

i said barely miss, but i dont think theyre gonna barely miss the playoffs with the steelers and bengals in their division. theyll probablly bearound 7-9 and maybe 8-8 but i still think theyll miss the playoffs by a wide-ish margin, but not get a very high draft pick cause theyre not that bad

I think with the draft picks and McNair, they are a legitimate playoff team now. Especially if Ed Reed is back healthy. They drafted Ngata out of Oregon to help Lewis so I really think they have a good chance at making the playoffs now that they have a solid QB.

If their defense stays healthy I think they can make the playoffs.

It doesn't take much to ruin a season, so any team could make the playoffs.

Steve McNair means they either barely get in or barely not get in playoffs, but if they were in NFC would probably get in, but division and conference are too deep

They are going to flop again guys, teams don't go from where they were last year to playoffs in one year, thats just unrealistic. (Oh wait the bears......well the bears were in the weakest division in the NFL last year which is a farcry from two of the best AFC teams Steelers/Bengals

Oh and Mcnair is way overrated!

The Ravens still need to establish their running game that was disappointing, especially Jamal Lewis.

The Ravens will be an average team this year, maybe 8-8. While McNair will help improve the offense, there are just too many good teams in the AFC for the Ravens to get by for a playoff spot.

Dispite that, guys just think about this! For the Ravens to make it to the playoffs that would mean either the bengals or the Steelers would have to fall short, and honestly do any of you really think that the crap team the Ravens were last year could have rose above the level of two of the best teams in the NFL in such a short time?????

Unless either the Steelers or begals suffer some major season wrecking injuries the Ravens don't have a chance!

I'm very happy about the Ravens getting Steve McNair, I'm a big Ravens fan and I say this team finally got a guy that can leave used to the playoff. You other fans don't think that the Ravens can't make it to the playoff but we say so. The Ravens will beat the Begals, and the Sqeelers this year. GO RAVENS!

they definitely will be better than last year but they are in too strong a division to steal a playoff spot

Steelers just got hot and they faced the A-rod of the NFL in Peyton Manning who chokes in the playoffs every single year and Mike Vanderjact choked also in that game and they lucked out by not having to face the Pats who have the best QB in the NFL in Tom Brady so the Ravens have an outside chance of making the playoffs and remeber Carson Palmer might miss a few games he is still injured.
