This is solely my opinion I wanted to share.  I feel like the Jets made a huge mistake by passing up on Jay Cutler in the draft.  He is very smart and could adapt to just about any coaching system.  On top of that he can play in any kind of weather.  I say that because I don't know if Leinart will do as well int he colder months playing in the North East..  They have a lot of faith on a quarterback that has had a lot of work on his arm.  What do youthink?

Pennington will not take this team to a championship, they should have taken Cutler.

Kellen Clemens is a good QB that they drafted later in the draft and the Jets were building up for the future when they drafted 2 great lineman in the first round. I think the organization realizes that they probably won't go anywhere this season but they built up the offensive line for the future and can hopefully draft a good high pick next year.

That's if Peterson is coming out early. They drafted Leon Washington, but Peterson would be a great fit.

Jets should have gotten a RB this year. They know the Curtis Martin is on the tail end of his career. Since Herm Edwards have left, it seems like the Jets already are starting to turn back into the Jets of 10-15 years ago.

No matter what running back they would of drafted, they probably would averaged no more than 3.0 ypc if they haven't of drafted Ferguson and Mangold. Th O-line they had before sucked. When the Cardinals drafted J.J. Arrington who rushed for 2,000 yards in college, they expected him to make a big impact, but he only averaged 3.3 ypc and is now a backup to Edge because the Cardinals O-line sucked.

Yeah , but at least they have gotten a piece to build towards the future on. Now they have no running game, a QB who can't throw the long ball, and still no strong O-line. They are going to have the defense wore out in every game. This Jets team probably won't win 5 games this year.

the Jets will either get Adrian Peterson,Rayshawn Lynch or Micheal Bush in the draft this year I think they will give Clemens 2 years before considering drafting a new QB the lions or the vikings will prolly draft Quin

yeah the Jets played well when penningto is healthy they wen't 10-6 with him healthy and because their kicker missed a field goal they lost to the Steelers in the divisional game but Curtis Martin was playing well that year too the Jets have an easy shcedule so they could win 8 or 9 games if they get lucky

What rb was worth the 4th pick? Bush had been picked already.

If they had drafted Cutler, they'd be in the same situation as the Texans because they didn't take Leinart

I think they were better off taking Ferg and Mangold than going with a QB.  They still got Clemens in the next round, so skipping Cutler wasn't a big deal.  If they can get Peterson or Bush in next year's draft, it'll help validate this year.

The Jets could of traded up to get Bush but they would off have to give up more than a 1st round pick.

Why would they take Quinn?  They've got to give Kellen Clemens a chance first.

The Jets think their QB sitaution is fine because they still have confidence in Pennington, they drafted Clemens for the future if anything went wrong, and they signed Patrick Ramsey. They don't need another QB.

axel is right they dont need a QB people are thinking pennington isnt good because of the injury but if hes healthy they can win maybe 6 games. what they need to worry about right now is the running game. which is why they drafted two O-lineman in the 1st round. now they need to look at the RB position. if they can have 1 or 2 of their backups like cedric houston or derrick blaylock have a good season they might wait on a RB otherwise if its the same mess like last year then the jets will pick a RB.

Same position as in getting hated on for doing it And for those who don't know, the Jets put a lot of effort in trading up for Reggie

Probably not, but I think more good would come out of drafting a RB than going for another QB.
