He finally got some numbers up there recording 1.5 sacks today. The Texans needed that from him. Anyone thinks he can go for 10 sacks?

I think he can. The main reason why he did not get any sacks up to this point was becaues the Texans' defensive coordinator Richard Smith did not want to go full out on blitzes because the Texans' do not really have any shut down safeties with the exception of Dunta Robinson. He has afraid of allowing too many long passes but you lose either way because if you don't blitz to your ability, then the quarterback has all day to throw and if you blitz and fail to apply enough pressure then you will allow passing plays that can hurt you due to sending so many men to the quarterback.

Now they have no choice but to send more players on the blitzes.

It's a possibility, but 10 is a lot of sacks for a rookie.

Ya i think its a possibility if he keeps playing like he did today. Although he wasnt a big part of our victory, its a start for him.

he could get 10 sacks, but even if he gets 7-8 or so thats pretty good for a rookie. People overly critize the Texans for picking him but if he has the chance to get 10 this year then imagine 2 or three years from now he might be a consistent pass rusher who racks up 10+ sacks a year

Guys, he only had 2 tackles in that game. And he only got 1.5 sacks against the Dolphins. We all know how bad the Dolphins offensive line is. Derrick Burgess led the league in sacks last season, but no one talked about him being one of the best defensive ends in NFL. I think we're getting a bit carried away here. I know we're only talking about him getting 10 sacks but there are some teams on that schedule that I think can hold him.

I think he can, but it would really surprise me.  I looked at the schedule and did a little estimating.  Based on the teams he'll face, I think he'll get 7,8, maybe 9 sacks at most.  That would be a good showing I think.

I can see him possibly getting 10 sacks with the schedule.  Texan fans had a lot of be happy about in that game.

So far Bush hasn't done anything either. Tough break for Mario Williams to be the guy picked before Bush if Bush goes on to be a HOFer.
