NEW Survivor Pick'em (Experimental)

I thought about this for a bit, posted it in the Off-Topic Thread, and Wally loved it, so I decided to open it up.

These are the rules:
1. You select one team per-week to win. You have to make sure you are making a perfect choice. Because if the team you pick loses, your out. Done.
2. You may only select a team one. I'll always keep your picks every week, so I'll be sure you don't cheat the system.
3. Sadly, you can't join midseason, unless everyone is eliminated. The reasons are pretty obvious.

Its as simple as that. Simply post the game in which your picking the winner and bold the winner. I dropped the Jets/Bills game since this was made Thursday night:

Tips:
1. Its obvious that you should go for superpowers against garbage squads. But, a) you never know when the upset is coming, and b) you could waste all superpowers early.
2. I would never go for divisional games.
3. Thursday night games are hard to read, ESPECIALLY for the visitor. Beware of those situations>
4. While you shouldn't waste superpowers, I wouldn't advise you to go for an underdog you think will win, unless it is too good of a situation.
5. Don't edit your pick if your out.

Oakland @ Pittsburgh

You have to figure with Roethlisburger back, and the Steelers desperate for a wildcard spot coming off the three game losings streak, that they'll be desperate for a win here. Plus, Tomlin said that they'll UNLEASH HELL in December.

San Dego @ Cleveland

I don't see them losing this one.

I've been doing one over at ESPN, and I've yet to miss one this year.  Of course it's pretty easy when you take the team that plays against Detroit, Cleveland, Oakland, Tampa, etc.

Yeeeeaaah I think the Saints got this.

Could we perhaps use Vegas lines instead, to even out the picks? Would give people something to think about, instead of going for the weakling vs superpower matchup every week, and would distinguish it from Pick'em.wallymartin

We won't do that this week, but I'd go with Tennessee or Washington this week if we were to.

Well...yeah, but that's not the reason for my pick. The Giants are simply done.

• Their Defense is crap thanks to key injuries
• They can't run the ball well thanks to more injuries
• We don't even know if Eli and his busted foot is going to play or David "The Sack Magnet" Carr is going to come in his place.
• In the first meeting, Dallas turned it over five times and it still took them a last second field goal to beat the Cowboys.
• Their one win since the bye came against the Falcons who didn't have their star running back, and it still took them overtime to win the game.

How it's supposed to work, I think, is that you can't pick the same team twice during the season. So eventually you'd run out of "power-houses". So you have to choose wisely, maybe take a mediocre team over a bad team every once in a while to conserve the top tier teams. Kind of hard to do this when you start with only 5 weeks left. Should be more fun next season though.

I guess it's too late now, but maybe you should have had people pick 2 or 3 teams each week. The way it is now, we're all probably going to win, except for those people taking risky picks.

Only 5 weeks left, so I figured why not try and sneak the Panthers in. If they can't beat the pathetic Bucs, then I'd be ok going out after the first week.

I would never pick a divisional game, even Chargers/Raiders, Patriots/Bills, Steelers/Browns etc.

I'm still in it. And even better, I'm no longer burdened with Chicago. Not that there will be any shortage of teams to pick, seeing as we started this in week 13.
