[QUOTE="Espurs117"] LMAO. You put down Webbers achievements. 2 trips to NCAA championships. Okay? Webber led them? lol you know nothing. It was called the fab 5 for a reason. They had 5 good players, Jalen Rose etc. Webber didn't lead them there. The only thing he did was lost them the title game by being a moron, like you. Look at the Kings playoff results. They lost in the 1st round a few times. This is hilarious. Okay so Webber is on a list with other good HOF players. Do you know how many lists Duncan is on? No. You dont. Do you really wanna compare achievements tho? Okay sure I don't mind making you look stupid, you help me out on that anyways.
Tim Duncan college Awards
USBWA college player of the year - 1997
Naismith college player of the year - 1997
John Wooden Award - 1997
ACC Player of the year - 1996/1997
Chris Webber college awards
A national spotlight for being a moron for not knowing how many timeouts are left. No really that is it, he didn't get any even tho he "lead" his team somewhere!
He was an All American I know for sure but so was Duncan and I don't feel like looking this crap up.
Tim Duncan NBA awards
NBA Rookie of the year - 1998
NBA MVP - 2002
NBA MVP - 2003
NBA Finals MVP - 1999, 2003, 2005
NBA Champion - 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007
NBA All star game MVP - 2000
Chris Webber -
NBA Rookie of the year - 1994
That's it dude, everything else is either all NBA team or All rookie team. And I can tell you right now that Duncan has way more All NBA team and he even has a bunch of All Defense team, unlike Webber cuz his defense sucked!
You know what tho im not done. Lets look at the stats that matter. Playoff stats.
Tim Duncans Career playoff stats
23.4 PPG. 12.7 RPG. 2.7 BPG. 3.5 APG .501 FG PCT.
Chris Webber Career playoff stats
18.7 PPG. 8.7 RPG. 1.1 BPG 3.6 APG .464 FG PCT.
Oh no! The great assist man that Webber is! Only beat Duncan by .1? Really? Oh no!
Let's compare more important stats tho. How about Finals Stats?
Oh wait...
CWEBB04z
Lets do a comparison up until 2003!
Career Playoff Numbers up until the last year he got injured.
- 21.1 ppg
- 9.6 rpg
- 1.3 bpg
- 4.2 apg
- .461 fg pct.
Career playoff Numbers up until 2003 for Duncan
- 23.9 ppg
- 13.1 rpg
- 2.9 bpg
- 3.8 apg
- .507 fg pct.
Now both numbers went up and are very close, so that All time Legend player is not far ahead of Webber.
5X All Star
1993 Rookie of the year
All NBA 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams (5X)
He is the 1999 Rebounding champ, guess it doesnt matter to you though.
He was the finalist for the Naismith and Wooden awards but were taken away due to that fact that the Fab Five "doesnt exist"
The League MVP trophy is based off votings, and is mostly a popularity contest, Webber was never popular except in Sacramento, it was always either Shaq, Kobe or Duncan due to the size of the fanbase. When Webber came to the Kings, the Kings didnt have fans until 2002, While the Spurs had fans back in 1999.
Face it! Webber and Duncan are close in numbers, Duncan doesnt have an overwhelming lead in stats over Webber, its close, even in achievments, All Tim Duncan has over Webber is the MVP honors (Popularity contest)
He made 1 mistake, where he was backed into a corner, one thing that pops in your mind is a timeout, I guess Duncan was never in that situation at age 19. And If you watched the Documentary Steve Fisher stated that he did not tell the players how many timeouts were left, what was Webber supposed to do think about how many timeouts were left? or how to get out of the situation he was in? Webber didnt need defense, because he stole the ball often times, and they played high tempo ball, the Spurs play boring offense. The leader of the Fab Five is well known and everyone knows its Webber, the anchor, and the leader!
FACE IT! WEBBER ISNT FAR BEHIND THE LEGEND YOU CALL TIM DUNCAN.
OH and since Barkley, and Malone will get into the HOF, Webber should also! He sint far behind them, and Webbers Kings onwed Malone's Jazz, and dunked on Barkleys short ass.
lol how many years was Webber in his prime? Timmy is still doing it. Joke. Also he never won any of thsoe college awards he was a finalist......they stripped the fact that he was a finalist? What? No one cares. LOL at those 5x all star things. GO look at Duncans all star numbers, All NBA 1st team, All NBA Defensive team. Why didn't you put those in? Also what is t his popularity contest u talk about? Kobe beraly won one and he is the most popular player. Kevin Garnett won 1 when he was at Minnesotta. Don't blame it on the fact he played for a trash city. And no those numbers aren't close. The difference between blocks/rebounds and FG percent is a big gap. How is a trash player like WEbber who had a good playoff run for 3 years even get mentioned in the same name next to Duncan? I bet you Webber has a losing playoff record too, look it up I wouldn't be surprised. Oh and nice job on giving up on your point. Now you say he isnt far behind Duncan, when the whole point of t his was you saying he was better. Maybe you convinced yourself when you decided to look up the pathetic stats and awards Webber has.
