I think the price is outrageous for a video game system. although, it is supposed to be a whole media center, but the 360 is supposed to be the same thing and doesnt cost that much. I am saving to get a 360 but figured if sony could convince me to save a little more, I would wait for the PS3. I don't think they will convince me.
How can we say the price is outrageous? It's only $100 more than an 360, and if you have a job that is one or two days of working to make up the difference. The PS3 is going to be so much better than the 360, it's definately worth the extra $100.
I agree with it being "just $100 more" but I dont know if I can justify saying i spent $500 or $600 on a video game system. That just seems crazy. but i like to hear the opinions, maybe somebody can convince me to get the ps3 instead.
i am pretty sure MGS4 is goint to be avail for the 360 as well. Not at launch, but down the road.

The PS3 you will want to buy is $600. Whoever said it is only $100 more is not too smart because you will have to be INSANE to not buy the better one. The cheaper one doesn't have HDMI plug ins... So Blu Ray doesn't get the full effect... That sounds great. The 360 is a great machine that will be just as good, if not better, than the PS3. Yeah the PS3 has Blu Ray but that is still an unproven technology and may not be needed. Also, specs-wise, they are almost the same and developers themselves have said the difference in graphics will be so minimal, that nobody will go to the trouble of trying to make it different just for the platform.
i agree the only real big difference is the blu ray i thank that the 360 will hold it own aganist the ps3 plus it will have a one year head start and it made it way through its launch bugs which i am sure the ps3 will have as all consoles have i just can not see spending the extra money
