I just think Seattle is an average team that feasted on allot of weak NFC teams all year. Seattle had an extremely weak schedule and I challenge anyone to show me a great team that Seattle beat this year. They beat the Colts late in the year when the Colts undefeated season was over and they had nothing to play for, Indy pulled their starters early and mentally they were not in that game.

In the playoffs Seattle beat an average Washington team with no offense, then they beat a Carolina team that was banged up on deffense and RB and just looked physically and mentally spent against the Seahawks.

In the end I just think Seattle is an average team that was blessed with a very soft schedule and being apart of a very weak conference. If Seattle was still in the AFC I think they would be around 8-8 and sitting home right now watching Super Bowl XL next week.

In the Super Bowl I think the Steelers will get allot of pressure on Hasselbeck and force him to throw a few picks. Shaun Alexander will have a tough time running on a Steelers team that is very stout against the run. Look for big Ben to pick apart Seattles D and I think the Steelers will get their running game rolling against Seattle.

My prediction:
Steelers 35 Seattle 7

Well, I do think Seattle is overrated but I think they will play better against the Steelers than 35 to 7. I think it will be a very good Super Bowl matchup. Also, if Seattle has played a weak schedule, then I guess we will see how they will play against a great team.

My score prediction, not nearly the blowout the last guy's was.

Pittsburg 27 Seattle 24

The Steelers beat the Colts 21-18, and just won by a missed field goal.

The Seahawks beat the Colts 28-13.

I realize that the Colts were resting some of their starters, but just Peyton Manning and Edgerton James dosen't make a 12 point difference. The Seahawks defiantly beat the Colts, and every other team that stood in their way in their last 16 games. Carolina was better than Denver, and Washington was better than Cincinatti without Carson Palmer (I still think that the Steelers wouldn't be in the superbowl if Palmer wasn't injured). The Steelers just barely squeaked off a victory against the Colts, and let the Broncos destroy themselves with Plumber having his worst game of the season.

The Seahawks still have more superbowl expirience, and a coach with a ring. The Steelers are inexpirienced, and I think that that will do them in.

Final Score: Seahawks: 28 Steelers: 24

Yes, yes it does make a 12 point difference.  I mean who is Jim Sorgi and how come he's not starting, oh yeah he sucks.

I love how Brett's so hung up on the Regular Season being an indication of how the game's gonna play out this Sunday.....just wait, dude.......it's gonna be a BLOWOUT.  And by blowout...I mean right up there with some of the worst games in Super Bowl history.

Jim Sorgi is a decent QB but he's no Peyton Manning.

12 point difference? So, you're telling me that last year's MVP and one of the best RBs in the NFL don't make up a 12 point difference? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I don't think Marvin Harrison played in that Seattle game either.

Not to mention Pittsburg got ripped off in their playoff game by horrendous refing. Did you forget that the refs had to make a public apology after that game for being so freakin' bad. The only person that didn't think Troy Polamalu had an interception on that one play was the ref, who was obviously wrong.

Overall, Pittsburg played way better against the Colts than the Seahawks did despite the score.

 Yeah, now that you point that out, that is hilarious!

Let's just face it. The AFC for years has been stronger than the NFC. No ifs, ands, or buts.

If Carson Palmer wasn't injured than Cincinatti would be better than Washington, and if Jake Plumber didn't self-destruct than the Panthers and Broncos would be even.

It's true that Seattle has never been to a superbowl, but they have more players with superbowl expirience than Pittsburgh. Mike Holmgreen won a superbowl, and Bill Cower hasn't. The difference in expirience is huge, and that should make a big difference.

Also, Pittsburgh has been relying on the blitz to stop opponents, but Seattle has the best offensive line in the league, and handled a superb defensive line when versing Carolina. The Seattle running game will also force the Pittsburgh defense to be honest, and allow them to throw in some playaction.

I don't think Jake Plumber lost the game for Denver I just think the Steelers D made him make mistakes with their intense pressure. In week one Seattle got beat up by a Jaguars team that's very similar to Pittsburgh in the way they're physical and get pressure on the QB. In that game the Jaguars pressured Haselbeck and he threw 3 picks, I look for Haselbeck to do the same this sunday.

What do you base that off of? Seattles O-line might look good against average NFC deffenses but we'll see how they look this sunday against one the best D in the league during the playoffs. Oh and wasn't that "superb" D-line for Carolina banged up in that NFC CG? Yes it was, face it man Seattle didn't beat any good teams this year due to their oponents having a lack of talent, resting starters (Colts) or being banged up and not up to par (Carolina).

Seattle is a soft finesse team that is going to get thrashed against one of the most physical smash mouth teams in the league.

That's a pretty good point. Seattle had cupcakes crammed down their throat all season to get their 15-3 record while the Steelers put up a 13-6 record by winning something like 7 straight with 4 or 5 being on the road against great NFL teams with some major injuries in the mid-season.

Steelers are playing way better but I would love to see Seattle get challenged.

you watch polumonu will et 4 interceptions and a hand full of sack That will shut down the offense enough that the team will rely on the running game. Which is the steelers pride tor stop a running game.  bill cower will hand the trophy over to bettis and he will cry out of hapiness.  And there will be boobs in halftime.

So, to get back on topic, were there any Steelers fans that were worried about Seattle?

To tell you the truth, I wasn't really favoring any team and I could tell the Steelers looked much more comfortable in the game than Seattle did.

I honestly wasn't worried about Seattle leading up to the game, however once the game started and the Steelers kept going three and out I was getting a little worried. As for the players most of them were cool except big Ben he was playing very nervous in the first half.

Yeah, Big Ben didn't perform up to expectations. Then again, he was a young QB thrown into the Super Bowl in his 2nd season. I should have expected him to start out playing nervous in the first half. He did a little better in the 2nd half but not a whole lot better. Throwing an INT at the 1 yard line didn't help his case.

You make a good point. With all the success Big Ben has had it's easy to forget this was only his second NFL season sometimes it seems he's been playing for 10 years.
