Even if Carr was stuck as a backup and Williams never actually got to play again, I wanted to keep both. At least give them the chance. They could still be leaders.
I hope Carr does well somewhere else. Carolina seems like a good choice if they want him, but I don't think they should up on Delhomme yet. Jacksonville might want him, too. A division rival benefits by having a player that knows the insides of the other team.
That won't happen.

[QUOTE="bgres077"]You cut both your starting QB and starting RB? Does't make much sense to me. Man I'd love to see Domanick Williams in a Packers uniform.Espurs117
They weren't the starters anymore...they replaced them with Schaub and Green.
I like these moves, i never liked Davis(Williams) and Carr just needed to go. But this means my HS is gonna lose our starting QB(Carr's brother) I look forward to next season, we are gonna have a much better year.Â

My mistake, I'm not up on the news for a lot of teams.[QUOTE="bgres077"]You cut both your starting QB and starting RB? Does't make much sense to me. Man I'd love to see Domanick Williams in a Packers uniform.Espurs117

i completely forgot that they had signed greenIt was inevitable that Carr would be gone from the Texans. If it were not for him the Texans could have easily gone 9-7, despite their incomplete team. Schaub is just basically more of a leader by example than Carr and Jake Plummer highly recommended Schaub to Kubiak and Schaub even knows the offense that Kubiak runs very well.SilverArmor82What? David Carr couldn't do anything because he had no O-line. The Texans suck because they have no O-line. I don't care if you have Joe Montana and Emmitt Smith on your team. You aren't going anywhere without an O-line.

You can't just blame it all on the offensive line, although much of the blame does go to the offensive line. He was shell shocked from being sacked so much that he was prone to making dumb decisions. You know he had more interceptions than TD:wink: The Texans were a better team than you think, despite their many flaws. If you watched any Texans' games, there were 3 games that they gave away that they could have easily won. You do not need a perfect offensive line to at least make wildcard, you do however need an excellent o-line to get to the Superbowl and the matter of the fact is that although the o-line is pretty bad, they still could have won 9 games, which was in reach and not unreachable like many of you think.

He made poor decisions because he had pressure on him all the time because of no blocking. All of these things you are blaming him for fall to the fault of the O-line. And those games you are talking about, if they were a good team they would've hung in and won them. I never said that you need a perfect offensive line. I said they need to improve it. Do you even know what you are typing?

David Carr also fumbled snaps without getting sacked, watch some game footage:wink: They were ahead like 14-0 or 14-7 against the Eagles at the start of the season............a game they could have won at Reliant stadium. When you feel pressure, you have 4 options: 1. Take the sack 2. Throw it away 3. Scramble 4. Throw an interception Carr does not know how to distribute the ball. ALWAYS throwing to his primary receiver in Andre Johnson. I hope Carr does go to a team with a much better offensive line, so that he can lead another team to the playoffs and to the Superbowl:roll: Carr is and will always be a mediocre to average quaterback.

We already have Dayne as a backup, he played well last year and Williams was injured. Â

Never ever rely on Ron Dayne.Â
Didn't they not pick up Reggie bush because of Williams? What is wrong with the Texans staff? This world has gone mad!!! I feel bad for Andre Johnson. He's probably a top 5 receiver in the league but is plagued by such a crappy team.Wii26
The Texans have surpased the Cardinals and Browns as the worst organization with the worst decisions ever (in a short time). The Texan's staff is run by morons. To pass up on a once in a lifetime athlete in Reggie Bush and then to have the fans cheer, make websites, make petitions to draft the hometown hero qb that just won a national title, Vince Young...and to have them look the other way and draft a DE.....is just wrong. No one can be that stupid can they? I hope to God, for the Texans sake that Mario Williams gets double digits sacks for years to come...because this is Sam Bowie over Micheal Jordan all over again.Â
