Damn it! He's in 1 of my 10 fantasy leagues. My team in that league was 7-1, too.
I could see this coming for quite some time now.
I remember this one fantasy football thing on ESPN about this question, which WR will have a better year, Randy Moss or Terrell Owens. Naturally, I said Randy Moss just for the fact that the Raiders will play anyone despite sportsmanship while the Eagles have been fed up with Terrell Owens since the end of the Super Bowl and he demanded a bigger contract. I knew the Eagles would probably end up suspending him or trading him meaning he would play less games and Randy Moss would have more opportunities.
Still, Randy Moss' numbers haven't been spectacular either.
Randy has been a great teammate this year. And the only reason his numbers are down is because he's been hurt for about three weeks, receiving only limited playing time. You also have to account for what I like to call "The Kerry Collins Suck Factor." I would literally take any starting QB in the NFL over him. T.O. will be released this week. And luckily for you (maybe?) is that he may become a Packer...
I don't think he will be a Packer. I know the organization has lost some class since losing Holmgren to Seattle but I don't think they will pick up a low life like Terrell Owens to help their depleted WR core. Or if they do, they'll just borrow him for the rest of the season and then cut him when the season is over.
Seriously, I agree that the Packers need help at WR this year but I don't want to see him in Green Bay.
Why don't the Raiders get him? Honestly, it would be a perfect fit for him. Can you imagine Randy Moss and Terrell Owens on the same team? I can just smell media fest already. I wonder how Randy and Terrell would get along?
Oh, BTW, I think part of the reason Randy's numbers are down have to do with Jerry Porter. I saw him make some unbelieveable catches yesterday.
I don't want him on the Raiders, dude. They don't have the cap for that anyway. Randy's numbers are down because of a combination of factors: Kerry Collins has tunnel vision and sucks and Moss has also been hurt.
So Jerry Porter has nothing to do with it?
Jerry Porter is a phenomenal wide reciever and a tremendous athlete. His skills are unquestionable. But it's mostly on the fault of Moss being injured and Kerry just not having the ability to see the entire field when passing that's holding Randy's numbers back. Like I said, Kerrry just plain blows. He has two #1 wide recievers and probably only one of them (Randy) will end up with a 1,000-yard season. That's pathetic; he should be able to spread the ball around with that offensive firepower. Most other QBs would be picking defenses apart. Kerry's just picking his nose.
Yeah, I did notice that Kerry Collins isn't a very good QB. Just imagine where the Giants would be if they still had Kerry Collins instead of Eli Manning. Not where they would want to be, I'll tell you that much.
