"Michael Vick made arrangements Monday with the U.S. Marshall Service to voluntarily self-surrender to begin serving his sentence before his sentencing hearing on Dec. 10, sources told ESPN.

Vick began serving his sentence Monday not because of a violation of any condition of his bond, the sources said.
Vick turned himself in so that he can begin serving his sentence earlier, meaning whatever sentence he receives on Dec. 10 potentially will end earlier." --Kelly Naqi, ESPN -LINK-

Michael Vick's "deteriorating financial condition" prompted federal prosecutors to ask a judge to order the former NFL star to set aside nearly $1 million for the care of pit bulls seized from his dogfighting operation

In court papers filed Tuesday, the government asked U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson to issue a restraining order that essentially would freeze about $928,000 to fulfill Vick's legal obligation to cover the costs of caring for the dogs and finding homes for them. (link to story)

Smart decision IMOShotfire20

Yeah. No use going about your daily routine when you know you're going to be locked up pretty soon. It would be on my mind constantly. Might as well get some of it out of the way.

Far as i'm consernd, vick so no betterthen his loser brother, and he should have been fined 5 million dollors to a donationto like animal controll caare, he only madde 130 million on that contract, so really he has enough money and he should spend a minimum of 2 years in jail or a mental institution.
