Word, I don't see him playing another down in the NFL for the rest of his life. However, when he gets out of prison, maybe he'll follow Ricky's footsteps and join the CFL or maybe even TNA?

The offense is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Article

I was hoping he would be locked up for longer than that. Hopefully I don't have to hear about this on Sportscenter anymore.

Sad, but true. I'm gonna take a quote out of Eminem's Mockingbird. "Maybe one day we'll wake up and this'll all just be a dream" and I sure hope so :(. Vick used to be my hero... Now I can't believe him... He knows he's one of the league's most favorite QB's... He knows he has a ton of fans. He knows his jersey sales are almost always at the top. Now he's nothing but moot to me.

I've been waiting until a decision is reached, but because you are only Innocent until you plead Guilty, I can now say this: What an *******.

The gambling allegations alone could trigger a lifetime ban under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

I thought it was only for gambling on NFL games... Just like how Pete Rose gambled against his own team and how Donaghy gambled on the games he reffed.

He'll be an old news, washed up, dog killing, no-talent loser by then. Who is going to put that guy on their team and be ridiculed by all of the sports world? He's done in the NFL.

The Raiders

Hey, I was gonna say that. Now that he has plead guilty, I am sickened by the fact that he truly did these heinous acts. He really should be banned from the NFL for this.

First of all I though Brady Quinn was better, now he's holding out and he's playing for an attrocious team with an impatient owner. Thats just my logic.

So sad to see such a great athlete dwindle down to nothing. After Vick serves his time, Commish Goocdll might go as far as banning him from the league. Afterall, he did lie to Commish Goodell and Falcons owner Arthur Blank about his envolvement in this dog fighting issue. Both men are very upstanding gentlemen and do not appreciate being lied to. If Vick should come back to the NFL, he will not be wearing Falcons attire.

brady quinn doesnt have half the arm strength...... personally i think Quinn was a severely overrated QB in a great system..... (but then i found out he has the size for the NFL @ 6'3...) but i still wasnt suprised to see him drop that far

He won't play football again. If he chooses to, then no one will sign him. He just thought money and superstardom would let him get away with anything and he just left his brain at home locked up in a safe whose number was forgotten. I never knew that someone I loved to watch all my life could be so stupid. *Puts on emo music*

Yeah, it's over. Vick is guilty. He gambles, funds illegal gambling, trains dogs to kill, and kills the dogs that don't. However, this is how jail works.. in case you don't know.

First of all the federal prosecutors are SUGGESTING that he gets 12-18 months (that's a year to a year and a half for all you multiple concussion peeps). However, the maximum he can get is 5 years. That up to the discression of the judge. Here is the deal.. if Vick gets only 1 year then he will be out in 4 months. That's just how it works. You go in, behave, work off time in work programs ect... Okay, here is the crazy messed up part that you guys are not going to believe until you actually see it, but think about it.. and you'll know it's true.

Once Vick is in jail.. people won't hate him more. They'll actually start to think that he probably shouldn't be in there. I know I know.. he did it and he deserves to serve the time.. but it always happens that way.

Then, if he goes to a MAJOR media outlet and really wholly appologizes one really GOOD time and says that all of the dog fighting was wrong and that he learned his lesson. well, then and only then the commissioner might only suspend him for a year, but he really has to speak out against dog fighting and gambling and put a ton of money in helpfull organizations.

The other option available to him is that he can just serve his time.. and come out a multi millionaire.. and play some videogames and gamble on something different the rest of his life. Either scenario.. I don't care if he plays again. I'm a 7 year Atlanta Season ticket holder.. and it breaks my heart that the Georgia Dome won't be the most exciting place to watch football in the NFL anymore, but it's impossible to root for a spoiled dog criminal with 40 mill in the bank. I just want him to go away.

You know, something just came to me. Do you realize that 100 million Americans just wasted their money on this kid? They're probably burning all of his merchandise by now... There are kids at my school with his shoes and a lot with his jersey. I doubt I'll ever be seeing that stuff again.

Wow just wow. How much did his shoes go for? I dont know and I dont care. All I know is that it was a complete waste of your dollars. Someone have a count of how many Vick jersey sold from his rookie year til now? Whatever the number is multiply that by what? 70 bucks? And you have a big fat number representing money down the drain.

You know, I musta been one of Vick's biggest fans. My room was full of his stuff. I had like 3 of his jerseys. He is a disgrace... I wrote a blog about him, and it's pretty lengthy... I also say stuff I thought I'd never say.
