Ex-Patriots Assistant Sends the NFL Eight Tapes

A former New England Patriots employee has sent the NFL eight videotapes showing the team recorded play-calling signals by coaches of five opponents in six games between the 2000 and 2002 seasons, in violation of league rules.

But the group of tapes does not include video of the St. Louis Rams' walk-through practice the day before Super Bowl XXXVI. The employee, Matt Walsh, had been linked to such a tape by news media speculation. LINK-1 ; LINK-2

If that is true, the Pats organization is going to have a little "meeting" with Goodell.

It will never be over because this will forever tarnish Belichek's(sp?) legacy no matter if they find out the did tape the run through or not. It may die down in a few years but when he is up for the HoF, it will come back faster than you can say 'Spygate' so get used to hearing about it.

Goodell to meet with Walsh Tuesday, hold news conference

Walsh is scheduled to meet with Goodell at the NFL offices in New York at 7:30 a.m. He will then travel to Washington to meet with Specter, the senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, who has been critical of the NFL's handling of the investigation.

Goodell and Specter each plan to hold a news conference after meeting with Walsh.

» NFL.com and NFLNetwork will carry live coverage of Commissioner Goodell's press conference following his meeting with former Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh on Tuesday.

Walsh says Patriots not sole offenders

New York Times: Do you have the sense that anyone else knew?

Walsh: No. It was never talked about with anybody else. The only other time that it was mentioned was there was one time that I was filming and another team had set up their third video guy right next to me in our stadium. And when our team was on defense, I looked over at him, and he was angling his camera toward our sideline. I didn't ask him about it, because I was doing the same thing he was. But after the game, I went and told Romeo Crennel, and there were a couple other defensive coaches standing around in his office at the time. I'm not sure who overheard it or not. But I told Romeo, "The next time we play this team, you may want to change your signals, because I think they're doing to us what we do to them."

Of course other teams are/were doing it, if they want to police it put some security by the camera men, but with the D helmet radio this problem should disapeer(or lead to stealing radio waves).
