I was going to put Dolphins-Texans because of playoff implications, but then I saw Steelers-Ravens and had to go with the playoff implications plus grudge match.

You know, when I said I didn't want Dallas to return to the days of Shaun Suisham I was always talking figuratively since I figured there was no way it would ever literally happen.  Whoops, I was wrong.

A lot of must-win games for all these AFC Wild Card contenders.

I know Cowboys fans aren't going to like this, but I'm still not convinced of them yet. Remember when they beat the Giants in a game few expected them to win? Granted, this was against the non-divisional Saints, but Ellis was also down as well as the top Saints corner.

Saints were also due a loss, they have probably one of the easist scheduales in all the league (Saints) and they have been playing down to their opponents (26-23 over Rams before DAL).

Rematch of that great overtime game between Giants and Panthers.

Not shocked that the situation is different this year.

Yeah the stakes are different this time around, but Carolina does have the opportunity to prevent the Giants from reaching the postseason. (which I doubt they'll do)

Polamalu not expected to play against Ravens. That's not good for the Steelers. It's now pretty much left up to Ben to have another huge game. Personally, I'm not that shocked by Tomlin's on side kick last week, he doesn't have much faith in their defense, can anyone really blame him?

Thats sucks, but it makes it a lot easier for me to do a preview on this week. I hadn't decided on that game until now.

I missed the game.  Were the turnovers because of a good San Diego D or a bad VY?

Cashed it in with a 17 point lead. Didn't deserve to win this.

This game will get the media off our bandwagon(as well as many fans), but so much the better. We need to play with chips on our shoulders going into the playoffs following these two lackadasical efforts.

I watch the first half and things look great. I go to play football and they lose in OT. Looks like a 13 game win streak to start the season and a 4 game losing streak to end it. Nice.

Roy Williams is a waste.Bobbles

I have to agree with you on that one, I am not sure if he is the problem or if just does not know how to fit in with the Cowboys system. He is a talented player that has had a useless and unfulfilling career. I can pardon the years in Detroit that were bad, but he should not be this bad in Dallas though

I say they trade him and try and get whatever they can in exchange for draft picks

I didn't realize the system caused a player to drop passes. It's not the system, it's him dropping balls.

Good enough win, Cowboys. A win is a win, and a shutout is a shutout. Hoping to see some promise next week headed into the playoffs, but not really that optimistic.

Well, they did dominate the entire game, but yeah they should have scored about 10 more points atleast. Oh well. If the defense keeps playing like it has, they'll be fine next week and in the playoffs.

Yeah, the reaction of the Saints president or whoever was priceless when they missed the FG and went into OT.

Big Ben 4,108 yds passing (8th), 23 TDs (11th), and only 12 ints  (T14th).. now can we say he is elite!?CWEBB04z
Tony Romo- 4172 YD's (6th), 24 TD's(10th), 8 INT's (T6th)

I still don't call Romo elite, there is no way in hell BB is. (Actually the only QB I call elite is Peyton, and that only started this year since he maintained performance after a complete coaching staff change.

^ Ben has two SB rings and was the youngest QB to ever win one.

If you want to hate Ben cuz he's a Steeler, fine, but seriously, SB's won > all other stats.

Aikman never had "elite numbers" but he won 3 rings - are you saying he was 'average' too?

You're right about one thing, Romo still isn't elite, or better than Ben, and never will be without a ring.

I'm going to start off by saying this is not in defense of Romo, so don't go there.

Would you take Ben over Brees or Rivers right now? Would you take Eli Manning over either of those two either? Both Ben and Eli got rings, so by what you're saying Eli/Ben>Brees/Rivers. Also, Terry Bradshaw=4 rings and Elway/Staubach=2 rings and Marino=0 rings. How'd you rate them?

I don't think a QB should ever be rated based on SB's won. Its not an individual stat, its a team stat. If a QB has a poor surrounding cast, they aren't likely to win Super Bowls. This is basically saying that the QB is the automatic goat if you lose. And seriously:

Trent Dilfer/Brad Johnson/Mark Rypien > Dan Marino/Dan Fouts/Fran Tarkenton??

Yes but Big Ben didn't win MVP.
