This should be for a good discussion. What Stereotypes in Football, do you hate the most?

1. I hate the fact that people assume that certain running backs are not big enough and that you need a big running back, because that is not true. When you look at some of the best running backs in the NFL over the last 20 years, most of them were under 6'0 and under 220 pounds, like Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Warrick Dunn, Tiki Barber and others that I have left out on accident and Running backs, like those go to show that you do not need a big running back, like some people like to assume

2. I hate the fact that people assume, that just because you have a certain last name or that your Father or Brother plays in the NFL, that you are going to be a great Quarterback, Sure Peyton had a father that played, but he never did much in his career and Peyton has not proven, that he can win in the Playoffs and then people want to assume that his brother will be a great Quarterback, because he has the last name of Manning

When you look at some of the Best Quarterbacks in League history, they never had a Father or Brother that played Quarterback in the NFL, like Joe Montana, John Elway, Dan Marino, Troy Aikman, Steve Young and many others

I hate it when people automatically assume people are "fanboys" when they like a good team.  How are we to know that they havn't been a fan for a long time.

Well that is not exactly related to a Football team, that is more to do with fans. lol

But back to my point about running backs, not only have many of the smaller running backs, been more effective, but you would notice that all of those games, have had great longevity at the top of their careers, then many of the larger running backs

The Jets? Looka t their schedule they actually have a chance of making the playoffs becuase its so easy. But they play a quality team for example the Jags they lose 41-0

People just think that because in High School some of the better football players aren't very intelligent.

Listen, use Griese or Simms as an example of this.. but never use the Mannings. citing that Payton isn't a great QB simply because he hasn't won the SB yet is just garbage. I know it's unreal.. I know it seems that there must be better QB's out there.. but these two guys are two of the best in the league.. and they prove it every week.

i hate the fact that people think im a bandwagoner. I always give them the absolutely true escuse of "Hey **** you i was born in detroit" well thats for other sports. anyways, in this sport, i hate all those people who have absolutely zero things good to say about tom brady. I even think TBH probably has a couple things good to say about him.

bandwagons.. fanboys.. homers.. it's less important than it used to be .. simply because these guys are paid professionals that are traded all the time.  I cheer for my home town Falcons, but I easily become a fan of teams emerging with some star power.. it's exciting to watch.

It's not like the guys on your favorite team come from your area!  It's like Seinfield says.. we're all just fans of a uniform.  In your city the owner.. coaches.. players.. and sometimes the actual team is changed. ..and it's rare that a player will go to a team that offers less money.

I guess all I'm saying is..   you have to find players that you feel honestly want to be the best and win the big one.  It's very possible that some people aren't able to find that fire in the team that is closest to their place of residence.
